Q:
Sovereign weapons
I don’t much care for them
They’re ugly. All of them.
Way to stay on topic, guys…
Balkor, I don’t think anyone knows. I’d like to find out the answer, as well. Maybe a dev will come in and tell us.
Id say no because infinity cube weapons where not added. They will probably come back every time arena does though so no worries. I agree waste of gold though.
Awesome weapons, not my taste. Stone-y Mayan stuff that looks leftover from Guild Wars: Utopia… I’m sure someone out there likes them though!
I, in fact, do like them.
I like the Sword a lot… Greatsword as well, and Rifle is decent too…
Rest is just bad though…
I actually liked the torch. I’d like the focus more but the face is pointing about where you’d never see it.
The shield looked pretty cool. The mace looks amazing… when it’s zoomed in enough to actually see it.
Think I’ve seen like.. 2 people using the skins..
For the most part they are pretty fail… Of course.. The skins you don’t have to RNG your cash for… suck.
Stop hating.. The shiny effect on my sword is awesome and i love my skin…!
The problem with them imho is that their style seems pretty incompatible with most if not all armor in the game.
These do all look like some senior in high school shop class made them for a project and didn’t get to finish it. That’s the nicest thing I can think of to say.
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
I don’t even know where to get these skins?

I know they drop from the gauntlet bags as very rare drops. I’ve gotten 3 skins after about 20 stacks of watchwork sprockets. of course that doesn’t take into account the ones I spent buying tickets… well ok I have no idea. I’ve earned about 400g in profit and gotten 3 skins, they are rare.
I think you can buy them from the vendors in the pavillion though for like 5g each or something.
To answer the OP’s question, no they will most likely NOT be added to the weapon specialist. These aren’t so much event skins, as they are instead activity skins similar to SAB. When the gauntlet returns at a later date I would assume these weapons would return with them.
The weapon specialist seems to be for weapons that can be obtained through the gem store and from events that aren’t recurring activities like SAB.

You get them from the cultural representatives down in the Pavilion instance. They each cost 200 sprockets (if I recall correctly) as well as some money.
I, personally, like the mace, staff and sword.

They added the zephyrite and wintersday skins to the weapons specialists, and it was stated that both the bazaar and wintersday events will return periodically. Personally I do believe they will be added, based on previous events, plus one difference was that once SAB ended, there was no way to get more baubles (though the vendor remained for some time after it ended), while the sprockets needed to purchase the sovereign weapons are tradeable, so they will be around for as long as there are available on the TP.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Bingo.
The sovereign stuff themselves look great, but just don’ fit GW2.
I think they fit perfectly well with GW2… but I also agree that they don’t really seem to have an armor set they mesh well with.
My question is why sovereign is made for the Queen’s Jubilee? They fit more with Asura or Sylvari, but Krytan Humans?
Actually, they feel very in-theme with GW1 Kryta.
Idk if i’ll use any of them, but they are clearly Art Deco in origin.
I wish the skins weren’t account bound, they just sit there unused in my inventory :/

Yeah it’s something you’d hang on a wall or a stand, like those Japanese Samurai Swords.

I saw the shield and thought it was awesome, not because i would use it but because it looked like someone broke it off of the empire state building.
One connection that may be nothing… the Art Deco stuff and the female robots remind me of Metropolis. I wonder if Queen Jenna may turn out to be Queen Maria?
Why so much hate? I’ve been waiting for glowing yellow weapons since this game was released. Got a full set for my necro and one of each for my PvP locker

Not sure why you think this. This is the dev response to SAB skins returning, it is likely that sovereign skins will be treated similarly.

Not egyptian, art deco, man. Art deco!
Despite my earlier comments I would like to give some appreciation to the Sovereign Punisher (the mace).
Is there a better way to beat the holy crap out of someone than with a rolling pin decorated with the images of four nuns?
I love it, but the detail is so fine that you’re going to totally miss it in use.
