Anyone have a clue? I know it will pull the Living Story together, but I also hope it’s something we didn’t see coming. Something that really makes up for a lack of direction in the Living World altogether. Thoughts?

My speculation is she will gather everyone in the pavilion, lock the doors and then command her army of robots to kill every human in the city. We will then try to save the people, she will be lethaly injured in the process and she will eventually die in Logan’s hands, with her memories muddied and asking if she did well…

I was hoping for the door to the Elonia desert to being opened, but a bunch of people have quoted Colin, that no new zones will be added this year.

So, most likely aetherblade related.

Since we are talking about some event that:
1)Cannot invalidate personal stories (thus no “Queen Jennah or Countess Anise is actually evil” revelation)
2)Should be important from a political standpoint (i doubt there would be a speech from the queen herself otherwise)
i would assume that this is either related to Cantha, or with the Tengu.
Probably the latter. Maybe she’s about to announce an alliance with them. Something that would later make them as a playable race.

It’s kind of strange but I don’t really care what she has to say. We went from Elder Dragons to mole-people,refugees,crabs,pirates,merchants,politics,anniversary parties and now speeches. ArenaNet lost my interest somewhere after ‘Elder Dragons’.

She’s going to say we are all being sacrificed on the giant bloodstone under the pavillion in preparation for the coming of our Mursaat overlords.

She will announce she made a pact with Aetherblades and from now an people can buy ships to make our own guild halls/ house

Its all going to happen like the plot of the movie I Robot. Will smith is going to investigate the dead of a dude, find out that robots might have been the murderers, and then he is going to kill the queen because she was planning to destroy all the humans for being “inferior”.
Win.

She will reveal that all along we have been watchwork mechanisms temporarily enchanted with the illusion of life and autonomy in a grand experiment which has now reached its conclusion.

She is going to announce to the world that her and Rytlock are going to be married to symbollically unite the Charr and human races. This will of course make Logan freak out and we will have to follow him around in story instances to try to prevent him from going bad.

I’m voting for her pulling off her mask, revealing she is Mursaat (look them in the GW1 wiki if you haven’t heard of them) and breaking into maniacal laughter.

Frankly, unless she announces the pursuit of a new elder dragon it will be a waste of time.

These fragmented, in-cohesive, endless festival updates wore themselves out about 2 months ago. Time to move on with the real story.

I second the suggestion Jennahs a Mursaat in disguise, with her Shining Blade bodyguard actually a White Mantle operative who have recruited the Aetherblades to help restore their power.

At least that would be interesting and create far reaching consequences in the world..

I think that she will call the charr ambassador (Rox) (that is why she is actually there in this story) to the stage which she is on to finally announce and finalize the peace treaty between charrs and humans but just before doing that the aetherblades are going to attack everyone and maybe take Queen Jennah or kill her and/or the same with rox and we will get a permanent dungeon for revenge or getting her back

It is not about WHAT she says but HOW she says it. It has to be done with a inspiring voice not in a simple Treharne style

I think it’s been confirmed that the Living Story takes place after the Personal Story. They can do whatever they want to alter the world beyond the Personal Story. The Personal Story is past events which are preserved by instancing. It can’t be Cantha or Tengu because both of those would require a new zone and Colin said no to that this year. Unless they are going to leave us hanging for the rest of this year, the story will remain in the current world.

That would be incredibly lame. One of the more obvious possibilities for this event is the treaty between the humans and the charr, but there’s no way Rox be the person used for this. Rytlock sent her in his place which implies whatever is happening here, it isn’t significant to the charr, otherwise a high ranking charr official would be involved (Rox is too far down the totem poll). It’s also incredibly arrogant for Jennah to use her Jubilee in her city to finalise a human/charr alliance (but that’s not out of character for her). Some kind of treaty would need to take place in more neutral territory.

Colin said no new zones this year and no Elder Dragon this year so it’s not the gate to the Crystal Desert. Best case scenario is something which makes big changes to the open world. Maybe it has something to do with why she is inviting all the races to the ceremony. It’s something which impacts on the entire world?

The Aetherblades are obviously going to be involved (they will likely interrupt the ceremony), but it seems weird that Jennah would make an announcement regarding them. I really can’t think of anything the writers have foreshadowed with the humans so far that fits here. Whatever Jennah says, it feels like it’s coming out of nowhere (and in a lame way, not the good way). The Living Story hasn’t really established any reason for us to think Jennah would have something to announce, or an idea of what she would announce. It feels like the Living Story is taking another leap without the laying the ground work to earn the landing.

Anyway, Jennah can be disguised watchknight. And Anise too. Everyone. Even player’s char.

Maybe the queen is our salady friend in disguise….

Or maybe, the queen is a minion of an elder dragon and she transforms, destroying any major city she feels like before destorying the crown Plaza and flying through the great collapse to reside under the city until the next story update.

Or, she throws open the doors to reveal….nothing. Because she’s that evil.

Maybe a treasury dungeon or one based on illusion. The watchwork things have taken over the treasury and it’s your job to get that money back, or rescue things. Your worst fears is what they mimic, so maybe they will mimic an elder dragon at the ceremony and the Aetherblades will take advantage.

Though part of my wonders why Rox and thingy are here. As said, they’re not high up the food chain in their respective races, but it kind of feels like they’re there as placeholders, ready to leap into action for this next arc. Flame and frost, southsun, dragon bash, southsun, queenie, so maybe it’s back to that team again?

Either way, if she doesn’t dance, I’ll be disappointed.

It all depends on what they mean as a “zone”. A tengu city wouldn’t necessarily be bigger than the labyrinthine cliffs, yet those were introduced (and removed) as well.
The Dominion of Winds isn’t that big anyway, according to the world map.

Do we even know if Queen Jennah is a woman? She could actually be King Jennah, and has been disguising herself with mesmer magic for an extended period of time.

She’s not had any children has she? I think now I know why.

She’ll disenchant herself during the Queen’s speech and reveal the manliest of manly forms. Logan will be devastated at first, but then realise that love conquers all. Plus, he admires King Jennah’s buff body, so they get married.

To ensure continuity in personal story missions, he will still appear as Queen Jennah.

Wooden Potatoes actually got me somewhat hyped about this, simply because I want his prediction to come true – that would be amazing it is set up so well if this does turn out to be it.
Give it a watch it’s pretty fascinating.

They are opening a trade agreement with the Canthan’s/Elonian’s and by next year we will be allowed to travel there.

I don’t think “WoodenPotatoes’ theory” will hold. For one, the steam creatures are already in our world. We don’t need someone to bring them from another world, an asuran engineer could go to the Shiverpeaks and do experiments on them, reverse engineer them and harness the technology for themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if Inquest were already working on this. Maybe that’s why Zorpp was around during the Opening Ceremony? He seemed to be missing after the Watchknights went wild, maybe he is in league with the Aetherblades?

I think he also oversells the Thaumanova connection. I saw the election promises as unrelated to lore. The devs came up with two ideas of what they considered compelling story options and attached them to either of the candidates. That Kiel promised the reactor isn’t a statement of her interests in it, but rather that’s just what the devs gave her. Evon probably got Abaddon simply because the election was fairly lopsided against him and it was an attempt to make it less balanced. Unfortunately Evon acted as an anchor to the fractal.

Just after an Aetherblade attack two weeks ago. Good timing.

My Prediction….The Queen Abdicates the Throne because she want to marry someone that the rest of Kryta would see as…undesirable. Then the Queen’s younger sister takes the throne, but she has a speech impairment….Blah, Blah Blah, more stuff happens, Basically the Plot of The King’s Speech,Blah Blah Blah, Everyone lives happily ever after for some reason at the end, except those kittens, etc.

Minster Caudecus would say this after the speech " So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause. " Since we know the Queen is more likely going to take action against the Pirates and we can assume that she is going to lock down the city in order to protect its citizens from a attack by the pirates as if they are at the Gauntlet they will be in the city

We can also assume the Minster has something to do with it and the Queen might go and arrest him thus setting up a war inside the Kingdom. But lets see what happens lol.

That the rulers of Kryta are actually the human God’s in disguise in a mortal form using the host’s body temporarily and that Queen Salma was actually the Goddess Dwayna and she is the Goddess Lyssa. The whole arena and pirate attacks were a test to see if we were worthy as a race and still able to overcome obstacles without their help. Since we succeeded we are more than capable without their help against the Dragons and therefore they will remain dormant not assisting us giving us nothing. :P
