kitten lol I have never seen this place. I need to go explore more
What you’re seeing is the rest of the Spekk’s Lab jumping puzzle. The current version of the JP ends at a collapsed tunnel. But behind it is actually several more long tunnels, with tons of rooms intended for more jumping. Several of the mechanics in these rooms actually work. But collision for lava and such wasn’t added (so none of the lava harms you). One of the best rooms in it, is the experimental poison room. Platforms appear and disappear, while the room fills with poison gas. Players must quickly make their way up, and use various control panels along the way. They must also pass power from one console to the next, and remember code fragments (which I assume would later be needed to open a door somewhere). But I guess they couldn’t finish it in time, so it was cut. Later on there’s also a room with various colored mushroom-beds that the player can stand on, but this room isn’t in a working state. I suspect we may have had to trigger them in a specific order, or it may have been intended to be a time based puzzle. The JP also doesn’t have an ending (it ends in an open tunnel that leads underneath the map). I suppose the Asuran platform with the forcefield around it was the original intended final room of the JP. I hope at some point they finish this JP, because it is very pretty.
In the video they don’t even show half of the full jumping puzzle. It is huge, and goes all the way underneath Trader’s Green and even up to the Ruins of the Unseen. So next time you walk around in Caledon Forest, realize that there is a huge system of underground tunnels right underneath your feet that few players have ever set foot in.

What you’re seeing is the rest of the Vexx’s Lab jumping puzzle.
Not exactly, It was supposed to be a 5th puzzle in Caledon Forest, but was scrapped before release. Perhaps, too many puzzles in same map? too difficult? you’ll have to ask Anet about that.

Then why does it connect to the end of Spekk’s Lab? The first room of this JP is literally directly behind the collapsed tunnel at the end of Spekk’s Lab.

You mean Spekk’s Lab?
I agree that it’s probably a second half of the current JP, but it’s not impossible for it to be an entirely different puzzle. Dark Reverie is placed right after Morgan’s Leap.
Although, on a side note, looking at the names of the two puzzles literally and with a morbid interpretation, I would think Dark Reverie should precede Morgan’s Leap.
You mean Spekk’s Lab?
Ah yes, let me correct that.

You know kitten es me off most about that video….they have a first person camera. Which Anet has been reluctant and refusing to add….and kittening lacking since launch!
Caledon Forest has so many jumping puzzles… and here’s another one that was supposed to be added and / or used to extend one of the current ones? The devs must REALLY love Caledon. Most zones only have 1 JP, Caledon has 4 already and this would make 5 if it was separate. Wow.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but there is a lot of space in between both areas. I have mapped it out and discovered that there is a full compass range in distance. While it is likely that they were to be connected, there is no knowing it for sure.
I’m currently still trying to enter the big sphere to get to the control panel…
