Guild Wars 2

tried portal invasions for 7-9 times now and sadly, I only get to complete 2 out of those (1 with being able to defeat scarlet, the other not). Now this happens because the game always seems to crash when the event is at the 3rd wave with 10 minutes or less into the game. I always anticipate this and it happens! And when I go back, I’m in overflow (no surprise there). Now this becomes very frustrating when you try to complete the 7 portal invasions, 13 portal invasions, etc etc. I admit that my PC is like 5 years old already but it has been performing fine until now (am still able to play WvW back then and parts of the portal invasion without trouble). It just comes down to that final wave. and what’s sad is I can’t unlock the fun house because of it.. sigh..

That being said, I hope arenanet considers that these kinds of things happen, hence my suggestions:

1) when you DC or your PC crashes, at least give the players some grace period like a minute to five minutes for being able to get back into the game and not into overflow.

2) maybe allow the players who get DC’ed or crashed to at least get partial credit.. of course maybe it should scale according to how many missions you completed during the event and in what rank (bronze, silver, gold)

3) allow players to voluntarily go to overflow (I don’t know if this feature is in) so that players can at least complete the ones that start on overflow

I doubt they’ll be able to fix this but I hope they do consider it in future patches!

Still, great game and patch for me! Hoping for new skills soon!

If you just want to try out the playhouse (or want to get back to the crown pavilion or gauntlet), anyone who’s unlocked it can pull you in in a party. If you can’t sort out the crashing issue, or whatever.
