So which are your experiences using this? so far the only one i heard was “it knocked back”

Where did it transport you? or what happened to you?

Rather than sell it for 60s I decided to use it.

Well, the saying “did you have a nice trip” comes to mind. All it did was push me on the ground and then I got back up, like wtf is that troll device…Never using one again.

I can’t even close the stupid portals for the achievements and you come here talking about silly portal devices?!?! We have bigger skritt to fry.

I bough one for 80 silver.

Got knocked down for 6 seconds :’(

Used 3 of them, got knocked down each time

I honestly think its Anet’s Bully device. It was created to punish the weak and nerdy for falling for using such silly and unnecessary crap.

well i bought two and got knocked down twice, and also when i used first one I was getting knocked down often, without having used another bottle. ITS A TRAP

I got one for free, it did nothing. I purchased one for 75s, and it did nothing.

It is broken.

Note to self: Don’t bother with these things until they’re fixed…

Have any of you beaten the funhouse thing? Maybe it needs to be used after that?

so should we assume they are broken or just a troll device with little chance to be send to a cool place?

Probably Anet just want to get rid of those ingredients of past events and made this troll device

If that is the case, why is it not in the item description? I just don’t think it’s working as intended.

Not to mention the crafting materials are not the ones announced in the patch notes…

but explain it more, where did you get teleported? just to a random place in map or to a place where you could find anything different/special?

These twisted devices are super cool! they’re teleporting you to a better place, to a place without grind, without bugs, there are free skins for everyone and Gaile Gray is serving you a cupcakes with cherries on top but the chance of a successful teleportation is only 0,01%! so buy them all and try your luck!

You’d think that being sent to a strange place at least means an interesting screen melting hallucination effect!

Crafted 7. Was ported 6 times around Tyria (vistas, cities, end of JP), one time was knocked down.

Can you use it in combat? Would be a cool little escape mechanism w/e your’e in trouble and need to bail.

Twice directly on vistas, and the rest were random spots on the map.

So you can do JP achievements without effort.

I bought 4 of them. One put me on the fisherman’s shack in southwest Queensdale, one dropped me next to a balloon tower in Sparkfly Fen, one put me on top of a (presumably otherwise inaccessible) mountain in Harathi Hinterlands, and the last one just knocked me down.

Something I have never understood is how many people can read the forums but never the wiki. That being said they should fix the bug. Buy a stack and go all over. It is kind of fun.

I’ve used 4 or 5 and ended up in random spots around the game world. My favorite was landing on the roof of the smelter in the Township of Claypool in Queensdale. As far as I can tell, there is no other way up there (and nothing much to do once you arrive except take screenshots!)

I used it once, it “teleported” me to the exact same spot where i was standing when i used it. Never again, better to just sell it.

I used three of them, and got teleported twice, and knocked down once.
The first time it teleported me to the Vista within the dredge-cave in Dredgehaunt Cliffs (the one with all the scaffolding). The second time it teleported me to a Vista in Lornar’s Pass, the one on the pirate ship in the middle of the lake.

Save them for a character that lacks map completion! But, also wait until the bug is fixed:

Bug:
The last device in a stack will always fail to teleport you. Make sure you have at least two before using a device. If you have multiple stacks, the last one in a stack still fails, and attempting to use another device right away gives the error “You cannot use this item right now.”

Used about 15, got teleported in arround 4 vistas, 1 jp, other useless spot and out map in Iron Marches ^^
