Watchknight Tonic is soooooooooo awesome :D
*could have been awesome
I love that you can use it while fighting. I would just have shoved it in the bank if it had been like other tonics and never used it. I will probably use this at times and love the idea that there might be more of these. They make really good meta rewards in my opinion as you can’t really have loads of back packs but you can have loads of these.
Oh cool so it’s like some of the Everlasting Tonics from GW1. Too bad I don’t want to look like a Fembot while playing though.

If anyone’s looking for something else like this, try the Potion of Ascalonian Mages. Just putting that out there since someone might like it

I looked these up but the wiki mats seems wrong, they change the recipe?
Found the problem looks like I gotta buy a recipe

I love to have an everlasting Quaggan tonic in which I could fight <3
I also like the new tonic but I am really disappointed that it turns you into a female watchknight even if you are a male character. I hope they change this one day.
How long will it take me to get the achievements for the watchknight tonic? I don’t have much time to play, maybe a 2-3 hours every few days. If I just went hardcore, balls-to-the-wall achievement farming, could I get it done in about a week?

I got it in about 2 days. If you just follow around the different maps and such, its rather easy to obtain. Especially the funhouse achievements when you get them.
Also, each day has a daily which also counts toward the meta. So, doing those could also save you a bit of time in that regard.
16% uptime if you don’t die, change maps or do anything that would change a transformation effect.
Awwwwwwwwwh yiss. /sarcasm
Tonics during fighting – finnally. That’s bringing in some fun. Hope all new tonics will be usable in combat as well – maybe even overhaul some of the old ones as well.
If they can get all the old tonics to also be usable in combat they might just become…fun. Who doesn’t wanna run around as a princess doll wielding a flamethrower?
I wouldn’t mind if they made other tonics usable in combat. It’d certainly do a lot for those wanting to play as Quaggan, Skritt, and especially Kodan!
Love the tonic but not the unnecessary long cooldown between transforms…

This. I would buy another character slot and make a character with a Kodan name. Then, I would use the tonic forever.
The cooldown could be shorter, though.

If my princess doll tonic could be used while in combat I would be sooooooo happy. She’d look so cute holding twilight, lol.

I quit how I want
The tonic is indeed awesome, and the cooldown is also somewhat long, but I can clearly see why they did it. I, too, would like to play a game where characters assumed their real forms for the most of their existence. Having this on too short of a cooldown would cheapen the atmosphere of things I fear.
I remember playing runescape many blue moons ago, and one of the things that inevitably pushed me to quit was the cheapening of the real world feel by all the overly flamboyant cash shop appearance items.
I do think that the cooldown should still tick even when logged out, though.
^
But that defeats the fun of the item. Its a constant 5 minutes of fun, 30 minutes of inventory waste space, thus players leaving it in their bank and arenanet wasted time on the tonic.
It should be permanent, for the sake of fun.
I want a combat Quaggan and Skritt tonic. No Hylek, they scare me.
