looks like some assuran power source in a charr land. The pipes look like they are from Ascalon.

I’m interested in this as well. Would love to know from where these portals are coming. Scarlet sure has outdone herself and after reading her short story (very well done by the way) I’m even more intrigued.

It’s the break room where all her minions lounge around in their underwear until the red light starts flashing.

Or the cloning machine. You know she needs one, what with all the rampant slaughtering of aetherblades/molten we’ve done.

You think he could be the final boss? I’d run, really. Tyria is not yet ready to face him.

The portals are probably no more than a way to put the mobs where they need to be. I’d be surprised if anyone at Anet even thought about this question.
