What prevents getting credit for invasion?
It doesn’t make any sense. Did the fire zone twice, both times we ran out of time before finishing the third wave. The first time I still got a big reward, 4 boxes and the extra items and exp/silver, but did not get credit for stopping the invasion in my achieves. Second time I got a single piece of scrap and no exp or money at all, but got credit for stopping the invasion.
I got both. You only need to be on the map and zone there in the begining and stay till the end. Participate in killing some pirates, champions, Scarlet’s minions and you will get it.
The bonus chest is a once a day reward, and for doing the invasion the reward is also a once a day reward.
You need to wait for the Dailies to reset, then you will get the rewards again.

I’m just working on the achievement and I was there the entire time and fought all over the map. Oh well. Guess I will just keep trying it.

I’ve done 4 invasions so far.
After Daily Reset on 8/20.
Fireheart Rise: in overflow; event failed; got a lot of rewards; got credit for the achievements.
Bloodtide Coast: on my server; event succeeded (but no Scarlet Kill); got lots of rewards, got credit for the achievements.
On 8/21, afternoon PDT
Bloodtide Coast: event failed, Scarlet spawned about 20 seconds before the timer; got one Watchwork Scrap; no credit for acheivements.
Fireheart Rise: event was going to fail; DC’d with less than 2 minutes left. No credit or reward, obviously.
What I can’t reconcile is why on a failed event I got rewards and credit, but on another failed event I got 1 scrap and no credit. Was it because I’d done the same zone since the last daily reset?

It just doesn’t always work, it’s buggy. Like I said I had to do Fireheart twice today and only got credit the second time, while both were fails and the first time I got my apparently daily invasion reward for the zone.

You mean once per day per zone? I’ve done like 7 or 8 invasions today and got full invasion rewards for all but one of those. But ya it was my second time doing Fireheart today so that would make sense.
