I have noticed that the contents of the yellow bags (also the boxes from completing an invasion) seem to scale with my level. Is this determined at the time of opening or when they are looted?

I only ask as I am a few levels from 80 (LS is mad XP!) and have been holding onto most of the bags after the first few invasions in hopes of having a solid set of (hopefully exotic) gear when I hit 80.

Can someone confirm this?

Pretty sure it’s when they’re opened. I stashed a few that my lvl 50 alt got in my bank and later opened them with my main. Got lvl 78-80 stuff.

The contents of the boxes are dependant on their rarity. Ranging from Fine to Exotic. Some of the gear within is based on your level, but no more than the quality inside the box itself.

The exotics mostly spit out greens, sometimes a rare yellow. If you are lucky to get an exotic, congrats to you!

Thanks for the responses. I believe I have gotten an exotic in bags opened prior. I’m happy knowing the items will be level appropriate (even if green) for when I hit 80.

The whirlwind of LS experience has left my equipment a bit mixed across the levels. For the most part I am up to date, but these levels have been coming so fast.

Use the TP to fill the gaps until you reach 80. Blues and greens are pocket change.
