I can’t finish my personal story because in one of the level 80 quests, Against the Corruption, in which you escort Trahearne, his AI goes full onkitten Getting him to follow me is a chore until a certain point, where it becomes downright impossible.

Just another reason to hate Trahearne.

Same thing is happening to me,he has to reach point X,he stops moving at random intervals and never follows again.Tried about 5 times in vain now.

I have the same problem. Trahearne doesn’t follow me when I entering the royal tombs. I love the personal story but I can’t finish it because of this bug

I have the same problem… I tried 4 times from begining and eh….

This has been an issue for some time. ANET has looked into this problem. I’m not sure if they have fixed it already since we haven’t had any recent patches that I’m aware of. Anyway, as a ranger I was hanging back when you get ambushed and pulling a few at a time. But Trahearne would never follow me to the tombs. The last time I tried it, I jumped into the middle of the fight using my traps and the quest continued normally that time. So I’m thinking that if you get too far away from Trahearne, he bugs out.

I didn’t get that far away from Trehearne, in fact I stayed on top of him hoping the mobs would get off me a bit. However once the mobs were cleared, we defeated the Elite and he stopped outside the entrance and won’t follow any further. I cleared out the tombs, and still nothing.

I had this issue in the past, and was able to finish the quest yesterday afternoon… but it was a buggy mess. Trahearne did follow me into the tomb this time. He asks you to defend him while he begins the ritual. During the second wave, a cutscene was (mis)triggered. Once it ended, I had to fight 4-5 more waves, and the story made no sense(since the conversation wasn’t supposed to fire off until all of the waves were defeated). Either way, I’m just glad to be done with it.

Not sure if this is covered th the 9/24 update.

I tried doing this quest once, I was fighting the mobs, including the veteran, at the entrance to the tomb.

2 things that made me not do it again.

First issue

The veteran seems to summon allies, and they killed my MPC allies so fast that in then end I was alone against 1 veteran and 4 normal mobs.
There was no way I was able to pull them one at a time, and if I did manage to single out one mob, they would respawn long before I was able to kill them all

Second Issue

I think this is a bug of some sort.
While I was fighting the Veteran and the adds, the story suddenly continued.
I got a story sequence where I was talking to Trahearne, as if I have gotten into the tomb, even though I was nowhere near it.
When it was over I eventually managed to kill the veteran and the adds, only to have Trahearne stand in one spot and not move.

I was also left with 2 objectives.
The one where I had to escort Trahearne into the tomb, and the one after I have completed that (dont remember what the objective was right now).
In other words I got the second objective before I had completed the previous one, and ended up with being unable to complete none of them.

This is an EASY PLAYER FIX>..DO NOT ENCOUNTER ANY MOBS PRIOR TO THE AMBUSH…..That’s it/. When you 1st talk to him, let him and his party kill Mobs 1, 2, 3, turn into the small ravine, kill #4,then the ambush spawns and you can fight from there on out

unfortunately, its when you get to the cave entrance that the biggest bug occurs, so while that may work up till then, after that, its kitten/p>

throwing my hat into the ring too. I also have had problems multiple times. same spot, T wont go into the crypt.

Traherne and the whole bunch of the other NPC’s just stay at the ery beginning, after killing the first monster. Fix pleeeeeehsssseeeeee
