Any future plans for charisma...?
Pretty much all races have one useless choice. (I think the only one where it isn’t true would be Charr, but your sparring partner is both useless and short-lived)
Current characters: Mistress Viridi (Elementalist), Pigeon Opener (Engineer).
3DS Friend Code: 0903-2770-3378. Mail me in-game if you add me!
many race choices are limited and hardly noticable, but they all serve a (limited) function. Mostly in your home instance.
As for your personality. afaik there are no concrete plans to do more with this. I agree this mechanic is a failing one. I have suggested to make it decide your facial expression (currently sylvari only smile, and Norn always look angry. Make the personality change your facial expression.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

I think facial expression changes would be quite fantastic.

I’d rather be able to choose the expression myself.

Yeah, it’s an interesting idea, but I don’t want to have to change my ranger from charisma to ferocity just so he’ll continue to look grumpy.

It’s not that hard to change!

True, your facial expression will be made at character start (all characters get to choose a charisma). You can let it leave it’s own life by just clicking answers on the way, but if you want to change it, the wiki would help you what to pick, and all you need to do is go to LA and talk to the speedboosting people with the right response.

No, that would just make the game’s already childish story seem even more goofy and childish.
We should instead have special passive effects (like signets) based on our personality.
They could provide a small bonus, nothing game-changing.

I think game changing would be better than non-game changing …. it’s a drag as it is …
Or, for once, they could be smart and let a certain trait of character leave a mark of the player’s face…
Like dark/light side in Kotor….
Nah, must be a revolution for them to even think this >.>

Who knows… a year from now…things could be different. This game is still finding its footing.
