[BUG] Munition Acquisition
What’s your current objective?
Hi I’m the friend he’s talking about, my current objective is:
- Munition Acquisition
Steal high-powered explosives from the Inquest.
*Meet Tonn at the Inquest lab near Mount Maelstrom.
We can go out of the area to get out of the instance, but I still can’t talk to Tonn.
It’s working fine for me, once you leave the start location there’s about a 3 second pause, then a dialogue cutscene kicks off and the next objective appears. It’s possible to rush forward and try to talk to Tonn before the cutscene kicks off, but it will kick in automatically after 3s so I don’t see how you’d be able to run around the map without it continuing.

Im currently having the exact same issue on my class quest. No Tonn update and I cannot get the “meet tonn at the inquest lab near mount maelstrom” objective to complete.
OK I was in a group when I tried, three times, and it only started the cutscene when I left group and did it solo.
Just FYI for others.
A player name Xolots.5812 and his guild kick me from fractral lv 10 when i was about to get my reward. plz some1 help me i feel soo abuse after playing with them for a hour and never have my reward he just kick me from the party when we kill the last boss ; ;
Munitions Acquisition is bugged. The first time I went in, I cast my minion and got a ‘no connection to server’ message that booted me to the character screen. The second time, I managed to talk to Tonn, but d/ced again right after while casting my minion. The third time I did it (taking care not to do any casting till I’m well into the Inquest zone), I cleared everything and got to the final cutscene… after it finished, the normal screen came back, but my character still had a movie reel on top of her head, couldn’t move, and after a short while, it booted me back to character screen. Seriously, I had to wait weeks for the Skritt bug (The Hatchery) to be resolved, and now this… Please please fix this ASAP so I can actually finish my personal story. Much appreciated.
I experienced it, too.
We want to do that in group modus. But Tonn doesn’t want to talk to us :-(
We are stuck and cannot progress our personal storyline since we experienced it nearly a month ago.
We are two norn, level 80. Do you need more information?
Any news regarding that bug? :-(
Navi, while it is still bugged for people trying to run it in co-op it seems to work when you enter solo. Is there a reason why you haven’t worked around the issue and just went in alone?
Maybe I would consider it if anet would announce it as a bug in co-op and saying they will fix it in the future.
But why should we do a workaround for something which they are obviously not aware of or not willing to fix?
We are allowed to decide to do our personal storyline in co-op and unless that special storyline doesn’t require only ONE person to enter, I can expect do continue in co-op, can’t I?
Well, it is more as a matter of priciple, I guess.. but otherwise they need to fix it sooner or later? Better for them to know that there is a bug which only occurs in co-op.
I wasn’t trying to imply that ANet shouldn’t fix the bug, that we shouldn’t expect the bugs to be fixed, or you shouldn’t be able to expect to do your story with another player. I was just genuinely curious as to why someone would continue to frustrate themselves over something that other players found a work around for. One of my guild mates had this issue last night with his leveling buddy. I searched the thread you linked, saw people said to do it solo, and let my guild mate know. He reported the bug in-game and then he and his friend split up for one story before going back to playing with one another. :/
The bug has been reported several times on the forums between this thread and the one you linked earlier, and I know people who reported it in game. I’m 100% sure ANet’s aware of the issue, regardless of whether they’ve responded to THIS particular thread or not.
Workaround: No player should move until the story owner has loaded in, let them move forward to trigger the cutscene with Romke. The issue is that a secondary player can trigger the cutscene before the story owner is present, so they never get the signal that the story should proceed.
Should be fixed in the next content update.

I played alone today and could not talk with Tonn at the end.
What was your current objective?
I am expiriencing the same problem. I managed to complete all of the objectives and clear out all the inquest with the exception of the rapidly respawning turrets. Steal the explosives, get tonn killed and ressurected him, run him alive to both ends of the instance, get him killed and ressurect him again, and nothing has changed. I am stuck with explosives, a demolitionist, and no where to go.
— Also, I noticed in my combat log that not all of the enemies in this instance are recognized by the game: “You were hit for 6,797 damage by Unknown using Detonate”

I am still having this problem with my engineer….
Inquest are cleared and explosives secured etc etc but there is no way to end the level…
This should be fixed by now surely!
also getting “unknown hits you for 5,405 using detonate”…
Is there a rogue inquest turret or an invisible inquest enemy here….
It’s broken – please fix it.
I just tried it, and it worked fine. After obtaining the explosives, there are 3 groups of Inquest that attack. Once they’re defeated, the story step completes. Is the “Defeat the Inquest” objective still marked as incomplete? Are any objectives incomplete? Is it possible that there’s an Inquest spawn stuck somewhere?
OK – game client updated (about 50 Mb) and then the mission played out as described. What was happening before was that all objectives down to and including ‘secure the explosives’ were ticked as completed but nothing more was becoming listed beyond that.

Head to the Inquest Lab. Crossed out (and checked in the story).
Clear out the inquest – Check marked.
Secure the explosives – Check marked.
Nothing else happens; with one other group member.
I am a level 80 Guardian. They are a level 74 Necromancer.
Went in alone, and it worked fine… >.<
