So I’m doing the Battle of Claw Island – Mira used to be in a somewhat safe zone to be rezzed. Now she’s in the middle of a never-ending respawning zerg of risen, complete with poop-cannon fodder exploding everywhere. I even restarted the mission (thanks to being dc’ed during a 2 minute break) – same deal. So now my thief (who cannot utilize his one get-out-of-jail-free card anymore THANKS FOR THAT AS WELL) is stuck in the freaking beach dying to try to res this idiot.

Restarted again just to see if it’s the same – it is. Oh, and the blue level 48 shoe reward for a level 50 quest is hilarious.

By the way – the part where you have to “hold out with the legion against the undead” – is that some sort of joke? You should rename that part “just run around and kite a buttload of respawning risen for a while and try not to die but you probably will”. Could we get maybe a timer on that? Of course not. But by all means – keep making sure food doesn’t give anyone an unfair advantage over trash mobs.

If you sneak down the beach around and behind the mob, you can rez Mira while the mob is engaged with the rest of the troops.

I think there is a timer… i killed a few, got bored, ran behind the gates and alt tabbed for 10 mins… when i got back that part was done, and proceeded to run to the ship

The Battle of Claw Island is full of bugs (including the logic of the story itself). It is the lowest quality mission I’ve been on so far. Please look into it. Just try to play it and you’ll see it yourself.
For example: Tybald said that all allied ships would be blocked by risen ships. Then he said that he will fight alone to stop risen. Gates closed behind him.. Aaaand? In a minute we open this doors to make a run the ship! Maybe it is just me, but I see no logic here at all.
Another example: what authors call “lionguard’s last stand” looks actually like a big bunch of risen standing still on the square in front of the gates. The lonely (and possibly immortal) lionguard that was trying to fight a few risen on the wall looked really miserable.. Where has the lionguard gone? Died? A haven’s seen a single body on the wall or on the square.
It is a terrible mission…

This one hell of a long mission as compared to rest I have done so far.

It is a mission of just keeping alive and getting to point A, B, C. Not much logic, then again, the game doesn’t have much logic to begin with.

My least favorite mission.

This was my third time around it. It gave my Guardian a hard time in its former version, though my Mesmer has it much easier. But my engineer, this time?

Reviving Mira meant several episodes of tanking multiple brutes and thralls while constantly poisoned, in an environment where neither healing turrets nor the turrets from Supply Drop could stay up long enough to be useful, where even when I’d pause in my revive attempt to run off and heal I’d have to fight off a few chasers, and I could never whittle down enough enemies to make it any better. Elixir S auto-triggered FOUR TIMES during that mission.

And that was with a tanking build (Cleric’s gear and elixir-infused bombs) and playing the mission at level 77.
