I created a new Norn mesmer, upon reaching the part in this quest where it says " Accompany Eir on the Great Hunt" The doors leading to the stairwell to Issormir are closed, and stay that way, even after fighting 20-40 mobs at the “Moot.” I am not the only person having this issue, there are 3 other players in the instance having the same issue. I have attempted to get my wife to make one, she is also having the same problem. And I have also re-made the character.
I can’t find anything about anyone else having these issues, anyone know anything about this?

Read the quest text. You’re supposed to kill one of 3 ‘special’ mobs. Killing normal mobs all day won’t open the doors; the Norns only care about the strongest game you kill.

might be somebody afk at the top by issormir, if the npc’s are dead then it’s going to be a long wait until eir kills it. try guesting to another server and try that way.
