If I were to play a human Durman Priory character, would the Priory stuff be the same as, say, a Norn Priory character? Or, would the Priory specific material be different just as the first 30 levels or so worth of racial stuff is different?

Race only affects the part up until you choose the order. From there on you have the three orders only affected by what order you choose.

Not entirely true. Race still has one major impact on your story after you choose your order. The arc after your “introduction to the order” arc has you choosing a lesser race to aid and try to win over for the fight against the elder dragons. Your race determines what races you’ll be able to choose from.

Hmm I was told that was based on orders again. As far as I understand a guildie of mine got different races in the Vigil than I did in the Priory while we both are Asura.

The personal stories are pretty similar , the story isn’t as great or epic as people may have hoped and you don’t have much personal choice available to you, you have to be a hero no matter what.

For Asura, you have a choice between Grawl, Hylek, and Quaggan.

Yes it wasn’t the most reliable guildie who told me this
I should have gone for the Quaggan then… chose Grawl on my Asura. Was planningHylek for my human and skritt for my Sylvari, but neither norn nor char can do Quaggan it seems. Need to replan.
