Final Story Reward Question
- Charles Fort
As i remember it, you have to return to fort trinity afterwards. Your story isn’t complete just yet
but there are people who will help you get back up when you are downed
- PalwaJoko
Yeah, I did, that is when I got my last 3 loot bags with those items
Was a nice celebration though, with fireworks and all

As Fransson mentioned, you need to go to Fort Trinity for the final piece of the story.
However, all your rewards were given in the Arah Dungeon.
You should recheck your inventory, as in addition to the gear you mentioned, there should also have been a “Pact Victory Token”.
That token lets you redeem it with Quartermaster Hargrove in Fort Trinity, in exchange for 1 yellow level 80 weapon (Rare).

Spoiler-ish: I got 3 loot bags, and they gave me 1 green lv 80, 1 green lv 78 and 1 blue lv 80 armor piece. That’s it.
Did I have extremely bad luck? Or is the rewards supposed to be low?
I’m also not sure why the rewards were like this for defeating the biggest threat shown to us in the game.
I think it might be because ArenaNet considered those rewards to be good for us at the time.
They had an announcement explaining Ascended Gear, and mentioned people got exotics too fast. I think we were meant to gear up much more slowly:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/linsey-murdock-unveils-new-high-end-ascended-gear/
“As we watch Guild Wars 2 mature in its Live environment, we have found that our most dedicated players were achieving their set of Exotic gear and hitting “the Legendary wall.” We designed the process of getting Legendary gear to be a long term goal, but players were ready to start on that path much sooner than we expected and were becoming frustrated with a lack of personal progression.”
That announcement was made less than 3 months after the game was released.
I wasn’t anywhere near one of those dedicated players working towards Legendaries, and I headed into Arah in a full set of exotics (armor, weapons, jewelery).

Indeed. I just now completed my first storyline, and got more or less all exotic gear on one of my characters, thanks to the rewards given for map completion in the biggest zones, and a few items from the karka event that I sold.. And I have been playing since launch! Not constantly mind you, but now and then

I see, thanks! Still, I did go to fort trinity for the last storyline after Arah.
I will see what rare weapon they got for me, if that is the only reason I got the token I might as well get a rare secondary weapon as I cannot justify getting an expensive exotic one yet.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on an exotic loot drop once in a while. It would sure save funds at the trading post.
San Twocut: Human Thief lvl 80
Djorn Wolfson: Norn Guardian lvl 80
The final reward for finishing the personal story should be an Exotic. Defeating Zhaitan is supposed to be the main point of the game after all.
I thought the exact same thing… the final rewards for me 3 green items + 1 rare weapon with fixed stats that rarely anyone would use as the finale reward for the entire story quest had me upset. I definately would not repeat it. At least make for a better stat combo on the token reward weapon although who wouldn’t at least have an 80 rare weapon by the time they finished this story….
Also…. does anyone actually pick the flame ram?
I got the golem, figuring it was more interesting

I found the same thing. The highest item I got was a rare hat. I was expecting something glorious! It was fun finishing though.
