The wiki says that your reply to the Pale tree actually determines the events of Forging the Pact, does anyone know what changes between each of the options?

What choice? After you leave the vision of Orr you just head back to the Pale Tree.

Forging the Pact itself doesn’t change much, but the mission and chain that Traherne assigns you will depending on your interaction with the pale tree.

Edit: the choice is made during “A Light in the Darkness” and it may be a bug that it has conversation markers (green stars/arrows) and not storyline choice markers (yellow triangles)

It happened to me, and now I cannot progress with my story on that character. Well, I could, but I am waiting for a fix so I can do the storyline I chose as opposed to the one forced on me.

I have gotten all the way through on 2 characters taking every reward and have a third on the 80 line. I have not seen the problem ya are talking of. Even my “low” level is closing in on that series of events and no probs taking rewards or progressing.
