So, yeah. I’m stuck on the last part of this Personal Story quest and the quest tells me to follow the pale tree through the entire thing. Right now I am at the last point of the quest before I am supposed to kill some gatekeeper thing (Looked up the walkthrough on the wiki after encountering the bug) and I can’t talk to the pale tree. Whenever I try, I talk to Trehearne. The game simply wont give me the option to talk to the pale tree.

What’s up with this?

If I remember correctly you don’t speak with the Tree, you just have to get Trahearne near her to start the dialogue.

same problem here. Trahearne won’t talk to her.

I am having this problem as well. This occurs for me on the Pomenade of the Gods. I’ve tried talking to both Avatar and Trahearne at varying distances with no success. I’ve also tried running back from the last waypoint but nothing has seemed to work.

I got through the mission, but I did notice bizarre delays at several points when trying to get the Pale Tree Avatar to start talking. I ran around her for a while, went away and came back, and each time eventually managed to get her to start talking.

I have the same problem and it’s after the pact fortress, after you fight with an army of humans, charr. Viggil and the order of wisperers. The pale tree stands in the middel of the road.

Happend to me right now, when I manually select pale tree avatar ther is no “talk” option, and the necromancer is speechless too. Happend at the entrance to the royal tomb.

Same problem, after the Pact fortress, and after the battle. I reach the Pale Tree avatar (standing in the middle of the road) but it’s idle and there’s no way to make it go on.

I’ve had trouble with this quest. The problem seems to happen if you try to talk to the Pale Tree. You can’t, however Trahearne is usually right behind you, and you will talk to him instead. Trahearne is trying to talk to the Pale Tree, and for some reason talking to him when he’s trying to do that, breaks the scripted dialogue.

To complete the quest: Don’t try to talk to the Pale Tree.
