Guild Wars 2

It was not letting my friend join the instance with me. We were grouped, in the same map and server (not overflow) and standing right next to each other when I entered the instance and she never got the invite. Tried it three times, disbanded the group, rejoined. Restarted the game. Nothing worked to allow her to enter the personal storyline quest with me. Please fix, this seems to be happining to other people as well, look into it if you could.

It was my instance “Close the Eye” level 73 in straits of devestation.

I’m a slyvari ranger and she is a charr ranger.

A friend and I had the same problem recently. Across a variety of his story quests, all very low level, I was never given the option to join him. I even stood right next to him as he chose to begin the missions, and it made no difference. The pop-up to join didn’t even appear. Out of curiosity, I tried having him join me in one of my personal story quests, and that didn’t work either. It was as if we weren’t partied up at all. Partying for story missions had worked with another friend of mine when we tried it a week or two ago, but now with this other friend, it’s not working at all.

Oh, and this is all referring to charr personal story stuff, all very low level (not going further out than plains of ashford)

I’ve had the same problem. I’ve been able to join some of my brother’s story quests but most of the time, it doesn’t even give us the option to do it with each other. I thought maybe it was because we’re both Sylvari and I’m much higher level than him (he’s 27, I’m 56) and have already done the same quests in my story but it let me join one that I didn’t think it would so I’m really confused.

The point I remember this becoming an issue is when the Sylvari stories meet and all start to follow the same path, if that helps.

Specifically: (Sylvari spoilers)
I was only able to join one of the Harbinger quests (the last one in the set) and cannot join any of his pre Order choice quests (starting with the quest that he choses to use golems or people to fight off an attack).

It’s been hit or miss for me and the other 2 players that I most often co-op with.
We try log out and back in. It doesn’t always work. Sometimes it’ll summon you from clear across the map and other times you can be right there holding hands and it breaks.

The ones we did today, neither my son nor I got the cut scenes, but the quests otherwise worked ok. It’s a total craps-shoot.

It’s a complete crapshoot. We tried it several times and then just figured nevermind.

This hasn’t been working for any Personal Story quest for my friends and I for more than a week. I sure hope this gets fixed soon.
