(Missing) Trophies in Personal Story Log
No journal items were added after relase. What are the two story branches in question?
what DO these trophy items do anyway.. are they found in your home instance?

For two characters, I have been playing the personal story since the Three-Day Head Start. I have played two newer characters within the past two weeks. I shall list each of these characters with their story choices and their journal trophies, as it is now. Please note that I do not have any other visible trophies than the ones mentioned below.
Character 1 story choices
- Race: Sylvari
- Character creation 1: Shield of the Moon
(story decision: I accompanied Tiachren to confront Ysvelta, and did not defend Astorea with Caithe)
- Character creation 2: “Where Life Goes”
(story decision: I traveled with Caithe and Malyck to find the pod, and I did not visit the seer with Trahearne)
- Order: Durmand Priory
(associated journal trophy: “Durmand Priory Key” with story entry “Dredging up the Past”)
- Tribal race: Hylek
(associated journal trophy: “Ikniu’s Spear” with story entry “Unholy Grounds”)
- Reinforcements: Tegwen & Carys
- Greatest fear: causing the death of an innocent
(trophy not related to a story decision: “Lion’s Arch Banner” with story entry “Retribution”)
- Most recent story completed: “Forging the Pact”
Character 2 story choices
- Race: Human
- Character creation 1: Commoner
(story decision: I saved the orphanage, not the hospital)
- Character creation 2: Lost sister
(story decision: I followed Tervalen, and did not report back to Logan)
- Order: Order of Whispers
(associated journal trophy: “Order of Whispers Emblem” with story entry “Stealing Secrets”)
(associated journal trophy: “Human Male Pirate Boots” with story entry “Down the Hatch” – note: this character is a human female, and this trophy, unlike any others I’ve seen, has yellow lettering and a sell price in its pop-up text box)

Character 3 story choices
- Race: Norn
- Character creation 1: Defeat our ancient foes
(story decision: I fought the griffon to forge the special sword, and did not seek help from the wolf shaman)
- Character creation 2: Blacked out
(story decision: I attacked the dredge head-on, and did not ambush them as they transported the chugger)

- Most recent story completed: “The Machine in Action”
Character 4 story choices
- Race: Charr
- Character creation 1: Iron Legion
(associated journal trophy: “Ghostbore Musket” with story entry “Scrapyard Dogs”)

- Character creation 2: Sorcerous Shaman
- Most recent story completed: “Ghostbore Musket”
What surprised me is that my more recent personal story instances appear to award these “trophies” far more often than the story instances during the first few weeks since the game’s release.
In fact, my charr (which I only started playing yesterday) has already acquired TWO trophies within the first three story chapters, while my sylvari and human only got their very first one after joining an order at level 31.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to point out that my sylvari’s story log contains several anomalies:
1. I have two entries entitled “Awakening”. The first of these is a one-sentence recap of the character creation prologue, while the second entry is a longer recap of the first story step in the “Tiachren & Ysvelta” storyline. I assume these two very different entries were not intended to have the same name.
2. The story entry “Bad Blood” contains no text. I completed this instance with the decision to find an ancient dwarven sheath, and not to craft one at the Durmand Priory.
3. The story entry “The Battle of Claw Island” ends abruptly in the middle of the second sentence. The full entry is: “After the defeat at Claw Island, the survivors returned to Lion’s Arch. It will take” (sic).
4. The story entry “The Ghost Rite” first correctly mentions Steward Gixx of the Durmand Priory, but the second paragraph then contains the sentence: “General Soulkeeper is returning to Vigil Keep to rally an army.” This latter sentence is probably out of place, since General Soulkeeper did not appear in the instance.

My level 55 Asura has never recieved any of the “trophies” mentioned in the My Story section. I hadn’t even noticed they existed until I read this thread…
Is there an NPC or something we can pick them up from?
Looking at it, some steps have items associated with them, some don’t. It’s not a bug or design change, it’s just the way it happened.
Okay, so in my journal, the following items are mentioned:
Split Second – Prospectus
Stealing Secrets – Order of Whispers Emblem
Down the Hatch – Human Male Pirate Boots
Unholy Grounds – Iknui’s Spear
I did not receive any of these items after completing the associated story quest. Am I supposed to have, or is there somewhere I pick them up from afterwards?
No, they’re just items in the journal.
Thank you for your response. So if I understand your answer correctly, depending on my story choices, I might receive no journal trophies during my first 20 levels, or multiple, depending on my race and story choices? If this is the case, then my suggestion would be to even these out among the different storylines, e.g. one for every story path.
Also, if I may post another suggestion, it would be a cool idea if these journal trophies could be represented by visual decorations in the home instance at some point.
Finally, could you indicate whether the story log text inaccuracies I listed in my second post are a known issue, and whether this can or will be fixed at a point in the future?
Ah, fair enough. They do seem a little pointless in that case!
