As we all know, apart from a few path variations, the Story remains the same for each character we have. A little personal background, then Orders, then Claw Island, then Pact etc.

So if you have multiple characters and the events in the story only occur once (there is only one Zhaitan after all), how do you RP or explain the lore regarding each of your characters’ stories? There can only be one second-in-command to Trahearne, only one apprentice of each Order’s mentor etc.

I find it increasingly difficult to RP or explain the role of each consecutive character after the first on any particular path. In the end, my characters are all a squad but the rigidity and repetitiveness of the story makes it hard to define each of my characters in this sense.

Alternate worlds. We’ve already seen they exist in the asura infinity ball path, and none of my two characters are in the world at the same time, because that’s impossible.

My main went through the Personal story and completed. The others have not.
I have written them as “after” the Dragon’s death or just simply around during that time, but have not climbed the ranks of the Order to Second in Command of the Pact.

For me, my warrior is the ‘commander’ and in the characters’ stories, whichever I am playing is the ‘star’ for that mission, and any others who played that particular story replaces a random NPC.

As such, each of my characters’ paths crosses over others from time to time, but they only get together as a group at The Battle Of Claw Island.

From, there, they split up into groups again to pursue the Pact objectives, reuniting for the last few missions before Zhaitan. But whenever anyone talks to ‘the Commander’, I consider that the active character is simply watching the exchange with my warrior.

My first character was the only one I’ve played personal story through right to the very end. I appreciate a lot of the story writing throughout the game, but unfortunately the last missions in the personal story I don’t appreciate, so I don’t want to play them again. So my lore is that only one character (my first) was Trahearne’s commander, and the others decided to prioritize their other interests (usually the mist war) before they could become very important in the fight against Zaitan.

I tend to stay away from having one of my characters being Trahearne’s right-hand. It’s a nice way of letting us – the players – get some say in what happens, but as far as taking it IC goes… I don’t. My characters, if they have participated in Orr at all, are almost always lower-ranking members who just did what they were told, when they were told, and tried -really- hard not to die in the process.

Except my first ranger. She was a bit of a mercenary that came and went from Orr as her interest in the place rose and fell.

i rp that all my characters are part of a special guild, that has its own airship "The Fabulous Pearl , with one of them the captain "Fluppi the Fabulous, an asura pirate.
The set out to different orders, and combined together in The pact and killed zhaitan.
And now the ship is being repaired and outfitted with new technology and ideas before they set out to the next target. i gave each of my toons her own background story.
