I’m almost done the current personal story for human, but there’s one thing I sort of regret. At no point was I able to choose sides between the three orders of humanity – the Seraphs, the Shining Blade, and the Ministry Guard. It would be really awesome to at some point say ’I’m a member of the Shining Blade’, for example. The other bit of personal story I’d like to see involves the six gods. You select a god for your character, but I’ve not seen anything really related to that decision. A personal story involving your choice of gods, and how that god interacts with you.

I’m certain there’s other races which also have such unfinished business – the different times of day for the sylvari don’t seem to differentiate much in your personal story that I’ve seen – I’ve just reached the point where I need to start doing missions for the different orders, and I seem to have completely slipped past that part. I’m sure the norn, asura, and charr have much the same thing.

Will we be seeing a deeper personal story crop up in the future?

As for choosing one of the militairy orders of Kryta (not humans, cause lion guards are also human, as well as the ebon vanguard).
To not spoil too much if you repeat it again. There is a reason for it. There are several storylines and a dungeon regarding the more complex differences between the Ministerial guards, the Seraph and the Shining blade. You still might hit some of those or get it when you make another human with different storylines.

As for the god you select. Go to your home instance. You’ll see a priest or priestess of your god there. I know it’s a small detail, but it is there :P
