This is by far the worst story every told in a mmo

I played old school mmos and today s modern mmos like WoW and the WoW clones but this has to be the most awful and kitten story ever told in a game.

I mean its not even my " Personal Story "
Its the story of some vegetable

In one of the last personal story quests when trahearne was tired/hurt/whatever, my char called for a medic. She should have called on a gardener, or even better for someone to fetch some weedkiller.

Im hoping trahearne will end up being one of the missing ancient dragons, connected somehow to the dream/nightmare. I wouldnt be suprised for even one second.

Yup-yup. The story was going awesomely until they made the very, very stupid decision to replace Forgal Kernsson (one of my favourite NPCs in the game) with this stupid talking vegetable who shows up from nowhere, gets all the glory for what my character does from now on and has the personality and acting of a stick.

If it was truly my Norn Warrior’s personal story, he would’ve made salad out of him and eat him with some Dolyak Steak! No-one steals a Norn’s legend!

I can do thirty Five-Dolyak Arm Curls.

Do you even lift, bro?

See, here’s the problem. I don’t know who Forgal Kernsson is. Never met the dude. Is he not in the Priory of Durmand? If not, then the flaw in your reasoning is that everyone doesn’t know who this person is. You can’t have any of the order personnel take charge because not everyone knows who they are. Not a mistake in my opinion to replace someone I’ve never met.

You need someone else to step in and take over who is not in any order so that everyone finds out who this person is. Plus the other two orders would never take orders from someone from the third order. The Pact leader has to be outside all three orders. Trahearne is the person for this. Plus I’m guessing that everyone, no matter what order they join has missions with Trahearne before he becomes the Marshal?

Forgal is the Vigil’s mentor.

Like Tybalt for Whispers and Sierran (spelling) for the Priory he is a very likable and well-written character.

So the problem is pretty much universal no matter which Order you join; a very likable character gets replaced for the next 30 or so levels with this boring and poorly-written/acted twit.

One wonders the purpose of having you join an order in the first place? After a few missions it’s all Pact stuff and it doesn’t matter what order you are a part of.

Exactly. Its not that we would like Forgal, Tybalt or Sierran back, but rather have Trahearne be as good a character as either of these 3, or replaced with a character that is as good as they are.

Also, as some have suggested, some permanence to the characters. Fortunately I played Drunk Norn Vigil guy on my main acc so I saw quite a few recurring characters by sheer luck (e.g. Mangonel Gearstrap and Balista Geargrind are in the Drunk Norn storyline because you and Mangonel went on a drunken rampage with the warband’s tank and lost it before the story).

But there are a lot of characters who you see for only a short while and then disappear, leaving you only able to stare at the wonder of Trahearne’s illustrious glass jaw for 30 levels.
