As you all know, when you complete a personal story quest, there’s a very large level gap (usually two or more levels) before the next quest.

That’s an issue. Sometimes I just want to play the story. Having such a massive gap breaks any potential immersion that this already lackluster, cliché-filled story could have had.

Considering that we have multiple level 80 quests, there’s also no need for such large level gaps.

The gap should be two levels AT MOST, and usually only one level, between personal story quests.

Agreed. Sticking with each quest being 1 level above the previous one is safest, since until you’re in the late levels (60+), anything even 2 levels above you can still hit you hard.

I just recently started playing the Personal Story again. But it’s on a character that already has a couple levels on her.

I think the Personal Story is a Story and way of identifying and relating with your character, not a dedicated leveling mechanism. It’s not meant to carry you to 80, so I don’t see them changing this soon. Heaven forbid we play an event or complete a heart or two while running between story checkpoints.

That’s not what we mean. It does get annoying from time to time when you want to move on to the next story bit, but then find you’re underleveled most of the time when you want to stay level appropriate for the story missions. Because of that, and that the missions can still be tough even when you’re at the right level(depending on your profession), it’s usually better to just level to 60 or above first and go through the story then.
