Personal Quest Estate of Decay
Um…hmm. What kind of equipment are you using? (Masterwork, rare, exotic?)
Is it a specific attack the boss uses, or the other enemies around it?
Are you trying to get up close, or stay back and shoot it to death?
Don’t count on the NPCs to kill anything, they just draw enemy attention at best while they’re alive, so maybe drop a heal turret near them?
It’s a pain, but beatable. I always circled around it near the pillars while shooting it to death, and dodging whenever it does that ground spit attack that knocks down and confuses. I think it also throws gunk at you, but other than that, the only other big problem are the spectral weapons around it, some of which like to chain stun you.
I finished this on my kitten able Ele. I hate Ele class. I hate it so much I deleted one at 72, and the second, I crafted through 50 levels. I hate… Hate… HATE it.
And yet, I finished Estate of Decay.
Okay, the feller is stationary. I recommend going to the far right column and staying behind it. Use ranged weapons to hit the Orrians running round him (or whatever they do to move, they don’t have legs that I can see).
After a while, one will kite off and come after you. Kill him. Once there are no more dancing blades, focus on the Mouth.
At 50% health he respawns more Orrians. Rinse and repeat. But if you are not attacking, stay in cover!
I’m with GuzziHero on this one, as it’s the same thing I do! Cower behind a pillar and pick off the spectral weapons as you can. Bonus points if you can draw the aggro of two or more (and handle them) at the same time.
Just use the pillars as cover, and pull the spectral weapons.
@Anet: Please do not nerf. This is one of the few challenging bosses which is actually fun to fight solo. (The other being the boss of Vexa’s lab.)
