Guild Wars 2

Are the weapon and armor models unique to the ones you get from each faction? Is there any other way to get the Vigil weapon models besides joining them? I use the Vigil models in sPvP and would like to also get them in PvE, but I want to join Whispers.

would having a separate character who chooses the other faction allow you to buy stuff for your existing character, or does it make it soulbound?

If it is account bound, that would be grand as I did priory on my elementalist and didn’t see the Whispers light set until I was 74 or so. Now I really wish I had gone whispers
