This story quest is far, far, far too hard. In fact, I made a huge mistake in choosing to do this quest over another for the sheer fact that it takes 5 or 6 deaths to complete solo … I don’t care which class you are or what gear you have … there is no way to complete the quest without dying multiple times with any strategy.

Enemy difficulty/numbers are far too much for one player.

I completed this quest with my thief with 1 death, not exactly hard, need to kite, avoid fire and burning. My thief was either same level with the quest or 1-2 levels higher. The destroyers attack in groups of like 2-3, I didn’t see any more than that at 1 time.

Ya the best strategy will be to kite them. One way is the use the map area to your advantage. Moving from high ground to low ground can help you have room for attacking and luring a small group of them away from the rest.

I just did this quest, a few levels above the requirement, and didn’t have that much trouble with it. Yeah, the crabs can hit hard, but if you stay on the move and use utility it’s not that bad.
