Guild Wars 2

Hi,
im new here in guild wars 2 and there is something i want to ask regarding the story mode

if i have a story quest in an instance lets say caudecus manor
will i see the cinematics meant for me and complete the story mode quest if someone else enters the instance first?

i’d like to go there in a group since i hear its hard

The character that talks in the cinematics is the owner of the instance, i.e. whoever walked inside first. But you will still get your story mode done even if your character isnt the owner of the instance.
