Made a new topic as a thorough search didn’t bring up anything like this in the forum.

A little background: I’ve just started playing GW2, and so far have really been enjoying it. I’ve tried all the races and classes, and finally settled on a human necromancer. I was enjoying my Personal Story, and completely understood when it came time for me to choose an order. I was level 26 at the time, and as I really enjoy lore, I was talking to all the reps of the separate orders to see all the things they had to say. I had already picked Order of Whispers in my head, but when I went to talk to the Vigil lady, I misclicked and instead of asking her questions, I chose the Vigil for my order.

Here’s the suggestion: Have a secondary “are you sure” dialog for an option you can’t take back. I’ve searched this forum, and many other forums, and nothing I can find says that you can switch. I’ve since calmed down from my initial nerd-rage over picking the wrong order, and I’m paying for my own mistake by re-rolling and leveling to 26 again (yea, not that high a level, but the highest I’ve gotten so far). It just seems like a good idea to double confirm something like that, and kinda poor design that a fraction of an inch can throw off something that I generally find to be very fun.

I agree here; anything that can’t easily be undone should have a confirmation dialogue. I would hate to have to reroll over something like this.

This just happened to me as well. My third character, was going to go Vigil. I was bored and decided to talk to all of them again and accidentally clicked Order of Whispers… I frantically looked for a solution, but there is none. This really needs a confirmation dialogue or at least a way to change orders before progressing in the story. Maybe get some use out of the recruiters/outposts in the cities.
