So early on part of the story line options as a Sylvari is you go through an ancient mirror that takes you to Orr where you have to rescue Tegwen with the help of Carys. I actually liked this story because Carys was the bumbling stupid blonde that you couldn’t help but smile at.

Fast forward to lvl 70 and you actually run into them again, but magically they don’t even know who you are and they actually sit there and tell their story about how they want to Orr. Well, DUH.

Seems like a big hole in the story and it really killed it for me.

Its worse if you arent a sylvari. Because then you’re confused on who these 2 chicks are and what they’re suddenly doing in your story.

There is quite a lot of “Who are you exactly?” during the final few missions. Made worse by the fact that Anet has some kind of insistence around introducing characters to me, only to literally kill them off in the exact same story quest that I met them. Oftentimes in completely meaningless gestures (There’s a lich that I took exactly 4 seconds in dropping to 50% hp, at which point one NPC yells “ITS TOO POWERFUL” and promptly dies" another NPC cries about it, the cutscene ends, and I spent another 4 seconds finishing off the lich, and all I could think was “really? Really guys? The lich who took 8 seconds to kill was too powerful? kitten plot armor”)

Ahhh, I really hate how they handled a lot of the quests past level 30 for Sylvari. The Pale Tree forgot who I am, Treahwhatshisname remembers me and then forgets not two dialogue lines later, and it all feels very “Hello ‘insert name here’”.

Had a similar issue with these two, though I first met them later on during the Herbozah quest. Wasn’t as jarring for me since I just heard mention of the mirror thing when we first met. And I don’t recall them specifically acting as though we hadn’t met when they came around again, bur rather it seemed more like I was invisible and got very little acknowledgement at all…

Worse though was a similar situation with Laranthir. Did several missions together with him, and then literally one mission later, Trahearne is introducing me to him with no indication we’ve ever met before. :-/
