Long story short:

Elementalist with sword – unable to change attunements for me ele signets etc and Treharne is powering up the lich according to mouse over of Defiant!

Lich summons minions as soon as he reaches 1/2 health which almost immediately kill npc’s and then I die shortly afterwards. When I move past fountain bad guys become invulnerable and run away briefly before turning and coming to hit me. In the mean time if I stay away from them to regen, I dont as apparently I am still in combat even though they aren’t!

Please say this one was fixed with the other Machuk one (dead of winter).

The changes I made to Mazdak’s health will apply to all story steps that he appears in, but I didn’t make any adjustments to the NPCs in this particular step.

As for defiant, note that Trahearne is NOT powering him up at all. All “champion” level creatures are defiant, which is a shield against crowd control effects. The number indicated how many effects the creature will ignore, then it becomes vulnerable to CC for a short time.

I had similar problems with my Thief. I’m stuck with a sword and lose all my damage prevention abilities.

I managed to complete the mission by
1) hiding behind the big tombstone behind the lich till my health ability regened
2) kiting, and using knockdown/slow traps – sword knockdown
3) dont leave the graveyard otherwise the lich regens
4) pure luck

Completed here too by luring Mazdak out of the cemetery and hoping nobody got feared back in to his Adds aggro range before we could take him down. Still a PITA storyline though.

Can I say beating him up in a back alley works wonders!
