I like to thank the writers and designers of the story arc were in the order of whispers you go undercover as a pirate and get into a drinking contest. I have never laugh so hard at a rpg when hearing a sylvari talk after getting inebriated.

Thanks

I have never been so annoyed by a mission, so pointless and time-consuming like that exact one.
Apparently it was made to fill out an empty slot, because it serves absolutely no purpose, in a game centered around combat and skill building.

Thanks for a great story arc.

Don’t agree at all, some of the most fun I’ve had in GW2 has been from non-combat activities.

The combat is great, but that’s not ALL there is to GW2.

And while the personal quest wasn’t some new evolution in story telling, I enjoyed it a lot and had fun. That’s the most important thing right?

Thanks for a great story arc.

Mr. Machine Gun Man above has it right. In fact, MMOs that have things outside of combat tend to build stronger communities and the players enjoy themselves more when they can do something OTHER than killing a monster in the face (for the 5019382109248109th time).
