Guild Wars 2

In one of my story instances my character is introduced to a largos who I had never heard of before. Did I miss something in the earlier story missions? I looked up the largos in the DB and found out they’re a race of sea creatures I guess. If anyone has more information about them or saw something early on in the personal story about them I’d like to know…maybe I missed something important. My character acts like she knows who this NPC is….. in fact she’s “honored” to meet her. I was expecting some kind of explanation from Trahearne about them .. but he is reluctant to say much. I just thought it was odd to introduce a character with basically no background as though it’s assumed we know who this/they are. Characters come an go so quickly that it’s hard to keep track of them all. I’m sure trying to create a multitude of personal story options that all blend and mesh must be a challenge.

I see a lot of people not knowing who Apatia is, and now apparently the Largos as well.

I suppose the stars aligned when I chose what to do in my storylines, since I never noticed any discrepancies (Other than being Sylvari..). Both the Largos and Apatia are involved in one or two story quests, and they are referenced outside of them. So, if you chose a different route, you would have no idea who they are, which is very odd.

ANet seems to have dropped the ball slightly when it came to wrapping up the story after around 60.

Okay … I was checking out some info on other sites and apparently, if you chose Order of Whispers, you ended up skipping sections of story. So we’d have no idea who Apatia is or anything about the largos. ANET needs to look in to this and hopefully correct the progression of the personal story. Thanks for your reply Zish.

The Largos in question bears a striking resemblance to the race of Seers, which are a sort of lore black hole in the Guild Wars universe. Seers are supposed to have predated the human gods (and by extension all other current races of tyria) and been at war with the Mursaat (and lost) and a few show up in prophecies to help players with a specific ritual to help them combat the Mursaat.

That Largos is supposed to be mysterious as she’s probably part of foreshadowing some future content where a lot of long-standing lore questions regarding the mursaat and the seers are answered (as well as possibly the silence of the human gods)

Personal theory? They’re all fighting the next big bad and the mentioned “concordat” the largos speaks of is a truce between the mursaat, seers, and gods to fight it. They’ll obviously eventually need our help with that after we’re done killing off all the dragons.

Actually, I was in the Order of Whispers, so I don’t think that is the connection.
