I’ve just hit the point of my story in which i have to choose which order i want to belong to. I chose the vigil, but what one do you prefer?

It depends on which character I’m role-playing. Vigil with warrior and guardian. Whispers with thief, etc…

But I’m avoiding the Priory due to the Bad Blood quest which I really disliked. I did it with my Mesmer and it was enough.

I really liked all three, there just wasn’t enough order-specific content before I was shoe-horned into the tremendously unsatisfactory “Pact” and all sense of difference was lost.

I’ve done Vigil and Priory, and liked them both a lot. But I think I might be liking Priory a little more. It seems to have more interesting missions.

I had WAY more fun with Whispers than with the other two so far, several times whispers missions have -actually- had me in stitches. Though in terms of the orders themselves, I would probably have to say that the Priory stuck with me the most.

The Whispers didn’t feel as much like a secret organisation as I thought it would, so where I expected to be spying and getting involved in the subtleties of political intrigue and dragon secrets I was very quickly in the pact and no longer being sneaky. The Priory missions were however exactly as I thought they would be, and I wasn’t left feeling like there could have been more there.

So yeah… Whispers for comedy value, Priory for actual content.

I’ll go with what fits the personality of each character. On a personal level, I prefer the Vigil. Their straightforward attitude combined with doing good deeds is just the most sympathetic — pretty much the exact opposite of the Order of Whispers, whose members I usually can’t bloody stand. Priory is somewhere in between. Sieran can’t hold a candle to Forgal, though, she’s just so flaky it’s hard to see her as a respected member.

For my 3 secondary characters it’s easy, my charming but outspoken noon blossom sylvari will join the Vigil, the quiet gadget obsessed norn will join the Priory and the cunning, sneaky Ash Legion charr will join the Order of Whispers.

But as for which one I prefer, I really have no idea. I thought it was the Vigil until I got to the point where you have to choose whose plans to go with and I found myself disagreeing with them every time. Now I’m not sure.
