This is a joke. You must be joking anet, truly. What have you done with final boss (Eye of Zhaitan)?! When I’ve killed him about month ago with my guardian it was a difficult, long fight (10-15 minutes solo including bugged invulnerability mode he used to launch). But it was also rewarding! And now what? Yesterday I’ve been there with my warrior (equipped with 80lvl masterworks) and I’ve killed him in about 30 seconds! 30 SECONDS. I know that you’ve reduced his HP, but now BOSS (he’s champion or something, isn’t he?) is weaker than any Veteran Risen lol… He didn’t even launch one of his stronger attacks (teleporting away and charging beam/summoning lesser eyes/spawning aoe crippling circles) cause he’s been killed so quickly. Ridiculous.
So… what next? Killing Zhaitan with one hit while using Wodden Sword? Really, you don’t need to make this game SO EASY, we’re not three year old kids.

When anet says in an update something like “Reduced difficulty” or “Adjusted difficulty”, it actually means that something that what hard becomes … nothing at all, npcs can do it alone.
I’ve done the battle or fort trinity some days ago with my mesmer, having done it long ago with my ranger. The first time it was hard. The second time I could as well let npcs do everything except closing the doors … .
I’ve tried to do The Source of Orr today (“tried” because a bug prevents the cutscene from triggering after the boss death), it’s the same : the boss has so low HP, I only use the first skill of my staff so that he doesn’t die too fast (I love this quest, I hate how they made it SO short !). Once again, NPC (Traherne in this case) could probably finish the quest alone.
Last example : I’ve once tried to finish the path of Citadel of Flames where the final boss used cristals, and we had to stop because nothing could kill the cristals fast enough (and we’re not bad). When they “adjusted difficulty”, we went back there, only to find an utterly nerfed boss that doesn’t deal much damage, and can easily be killed without even bothering about the cristals !!

Conclution : Anet, please, please, try to strike a balance between the initial difficulty of the hard things you adjust, and a completely ruined difficulty …

edit : note that the examples here are only examples, many other difficulty adjustments are way too heavy.

I actually hated that quest. Tons of running back and forth with absolutely no difficulty. Yeah, it took a while. So does watching paint dry.

And i love all such quests, especiallly since you fight Eye of ZHAITAN hellooooo. It should be group quest or atleast stay the way it was, it was challenging – maybe not for your class, but running here and there and defending at end was giving you a feeling of glory after mission…. now its closer to fart. Seriously….. waaaaaaaay to easy :/

lol yes I was really surprised by this as well. I did The Souce of Orr 2 days ago with my ranger. I still remember how hard it was when I first did it with my warrior a few weeks ago. Plus the fact that it was bugged back then so I had to try several times. So I was expecting something quite long and difficult but no the boss had only time to teleport once and it was dead!

took me like 5 minutes (did him today), i thought it was a really fun quest. he did trigger his invulnerability thing, and even had some really strong attacks you had to avoid if you didn’t want to go down. he’d also teleport around every now and then and use some strong long distance attacks.

maybe you all triggered some glitch? i thought it was fun and challenging.

Nope no glitch, it’s markedly easier. I started in the headstart access and was one of the many to first zerg my way across Orr… The missions were genuinely challenging and I respected their difficulty, even more so when partying up to help others complete them just made them even harder. They were fun though, not stressful.

Now its like… Trinity is so easy that it’s honestly depressing. It honestly took me the best part of an hour to complete it the first run through and it felt like an epic struggle, granted most of that was Trahearne getting stuck, but still! It was fun. And as for the eye! Well he was a tricky little kitten and I enjoyed the feeling of victory having taken him down, but eh. Faced him on my guardian a few days ago and its just such an easy fight now. Yeah he has his tricks but I didn’t feel like it was a desperate struggle.

I completely agree – the reduction in hp of the sovereign eye was way too much (source of orr). I understand that the original the eye fight felt abit too long (not difficult – just too long), but this is far worse. Even the epic ending with the music felt far less epic because the engagement with the eye was so short (I didn’t even get to see all the phases of the fight this time around). I left the fight with a feeling of being uninspired this time compared to my previous experience with it were I just had to tell my friends about it because it felt so epic. Please buff his hp again rather too many hp that too few hp when it comes to a conclusion of such a major part of the story
