Semi Spoilers so read at your own caution

While I wait to finish map completion in WvW, I finished my up personal story. Its not the best story as its not even about you, but it was entertaining. Then I go into Arah to finish it all and was just let down.

Killing Zhitan was a joke, just shooting a skill no effort required, it looked pretty but seriously, I was looking for an epic ending.

The loot, I mean seriously? I got 3 Loot Bags, a choice of WvW Blue Prints(Golem, Catapult and Flame Ram) and a Pact Token.

I was excited to open the bags and use the token. The bags contained 3 greens, I got better ones doing the dungeon and grinding out the missions. The Token is a complete joke, Rare gear with horrible stats and not even impressive looks. I kept the token just in case they add something else later.

I did Zone completions in each zone I was taken to by my story, so I had my choice of exotics(or cash from selling) to buy the gear I wanted, on top of that I leveled crafting as I went and could make better.

I will be completing the story again because I am a completionist and want the achievements for each different story path, but once I get to a point I dont need to I will stop as there is nothing worth it for my character in the end.

Yep, everything to do with the end makes my characters feel “pointless” in even being created or putting more efort into a new characters story. The whole ending was a fail to make a player importaint in a story, even stealing the personal touch about it. And going through all the story just to kill the Elder Dragon again! That alone would feel rewarding. Other wise the ending was around the main story with trahearne, then letting players be able to kill Zhaitan over and over the only requierments are 5 level 80s. It is hard to play after going through that, or to love the game for me.
