That is basically the same quote from Tennyson : it’s better to love and to lose, than to never love at all. As Traherne is also one of the Mystics in English literature I am wondering if there is a connection.

Likely – the writers have scattered references to other stuff all over the game. The wiki is usually pretty good about giving examples.

It’s not nessicarly quoted from Tennyson. There have been many variatons of the line Trahearne says. Many people have used lines that mean the same thing so it could just be a varation or a direct quote from them.
