First thing i should say is, im AMAZED, many, many many hours ago i started this game extensively planning every action, every choice i would think it not three but four or 5 times after i picked 1, i cant regret joining the order of whispers, and the skritt but thats another story.
in fact i cant regret order of whispers only because 1 single Npc (wierd?) i became fond with Tybalt almost instantly when i spoke with him, so Charismatic, funny, deep, witty and most of all, real.
so far ive completed Order of whispers and Vigil, im kinda new to priory but i can assure you Anet you have made an awesome job with Tybalt Leftpaw i cant name anyone but him as my “brother” in GW2 every time i could go in a mission with him i just say YES!!! to be honest the best and only the BEST missions were with him, your team have done an AMAZING job, the voice actor, the script, the modeling Bro-Fist for you Anet im not afraid to say that he belongs to my top of the best Npcs ive known, and i have played plenty, plenty of games.
And again congrats Anet you have made me giggle, laugh and enjoy so much this game there are plenty of road to be made but congrats.
and again I <3 Tybalt Leftpaw.

Anet, ive only one concern why do that to us, why my brother? to be honest i dont think you threw such an amazing npc just for the shock of the moment, i hope he makes a come-back because Tybalt is the most complete npc ive seen so far in gw2, anet dont do that to us, i will even go a beat grenth 1000 times if that means i can bring tybalt back.

I played as a asura and it just felt right when doing things with Tybalt like he was my big brother to the end. Him and a few others that was in the story i really liked but the way u did them made me love them. O ya the last boss at the end of the main story before zhaitan shouldnt of said anything about Tybalt cuz after he did i went H.A.M on him right after.
No disrespect to Tybalt, as he’s a lot of fun, but I feel that Sieran and Forgal are no less well fleshed out and well done. The mentor/player relationships are quite terrific, which of course makes what happens in the story have much more of an impact. At least for me, even when I knew it was coming on alts.
Tybalt and Sieran (haven’t done Vigil yet) are most complete and memorable NPCs in story.
Shame that memorable NPCs are eliminated so frivolously to give more purpose for monotonous NPC (Trahearne) to continue advancing story. Maybe only saving grace is that death is not actually shown (?), there could be a re-union.
While Sieran is amazing, and Forgal has some great moments, neither can match Tybalt.
I love all his dialog, especially when you’re pretending to be a pirate.
Also Defending the ChantryAfter his death, coming across a lock he made, and finding out the password was "Apples", the "Thanks Tybalt" made me smile
While I definitely feel he’s one of the more fleshed-out characters, I didn’t like him at all. I joined the Order of Whispers as a thief because it sounded like a secret organization based on intelligence gathering and shadowy intrigue. Then I meet some goofy-cat, bumbling Charr who’s supposed to be my mentor? Ugh.
Best NPC ever for sure (or at least for the time being). I especially liked him during the quaggan story, he started off saying the we needed to teach the quaggan how to swear properly since “foo” isn’t going to cut it on his team. At the end of the story he himself was saying “coo” and “foo”.
I fell in love with Tybs as soon as I met him as the “apple merchant.” Although it maybe strange to apply this to a charr Tybalt is downright adorable- while at the same time we did get to have quite a few insights into his past. Favorite NPC by far!

Same here, absolutely agree, I was happy to go at every mission just by having him there... Hope it is not really gone, far too good for that. Wonderful character.
OoW Chars need to get a Mini Tybalt for their birthday or something like that… hell even a RisenTybalt who still has his mech claw and spectral eyes would be awesome... _sob sob_ want tybalt back! would be great. Mini Tybalt, Zhai Zhai (and the other ED) and Mini Reaper of Grenth would be awesome!

It’s ok, I agree with you. I also happen to think that Tybalt (like the other Order mentors) is 2-dimensional. Which still makes him better than the slew of 1-dimensional NPCs to date, but still a bit flat.
Tybalt can be characterized as, “Apple-loving bumbler.” That’s pretty much his entire character concept. Which is fine, as far as it goes, but it sadly feels like his popularity is held in high esteem over a sea of characters awash with mediocrity.
I was also a bit disappointed that the Order of Whispers, the most secret and shadowy organization on the planet, has such a lax recruiting platform. With recruits like Tybalt and Demmi, the order’s secrets should rightly be front-page news within a month.

Nobody said anything about being serious and emo. But when you’re working for a secret organization whose strength of agency relies entirely on staying in the shadows, you don’t send in your most bumbling agent whose most common approach to any situation is “we’ll just wing it,” and can’t seem to pin down a mission without leaving a trail of bodies a mile wide.
I would have found the Order of Whispers storyline much more engaging if Tybalt’s lack of discretion had actually caused problems for the order that needed to be squashed by somebody with more experience and a steadier hand. This also would have given Tybalt an extra layer of characterization, as he struggles to deal with his failures, as well as creating a real reason for the Master of Whispers to step in and take a personal hand in your character’s training.
Hell, it would have been a fantastic hook for the final “I’ll hold them off while you get everyone to safety” heroic death scene.
RE: complaints that Tybalt’s character being a bad fit for a spy outfit: The only mission for The Order of Whispers that I recall even using any sneaky spy moves was the escape with Demmi, (which the player handles by using stealth to knock out the guards), so IMO there aren’t enough instances by which to judge Tybalt as a bumbler for all time. He’s taken out so quickittenhat the general sense of attachment to him seems to me a testimony to his character’s development.

The end of the personal story was so insane the the music just made me think of 1 character and that was Tybalt i mean he was so awesome and its just a shame to think that the only 2 who remember him at the end were me and Demmi . Apples forever <3
I still can’t help but cry. Sorry, I just did that part in the PS and I’ve logged out now and had to deal with this. I’m a bit shocked or something. It’s too heartbreaking, ‘cause he’s just my favorite partner and I love everything about Tybalt. I didn’t expect it to happen in the story. If only I could change how to story went (or drag him out from there). :/
Tybalt was just amazing. He looked after me and took me under his wing. Showed me the ropes so to speak. Even though it was his first field mission, he didnt want to make me worried and thus held that info back. It’s because he cares unlike Sieran. She just flys to the other side and doesnt even bother to help me out, even when the wind knocks me off the ledge. Tybalt is a real hero. He never once abandoned me.
getting teary now. i mean.. no. of course not.
that being said, was truly a great character and all the small details made him so likeable!! in conversations via cutscene or in -game, his actions even!! all put together to make a great character.
