Guild Wars 2

I don’t know how to get to the first power source. It is behind a door guarded by 2 pressure plates and 5 mobs (2 elite, 3 regular). It is impossible to clear these mobs as each one respawns moments after you kill it. It is impossible to open the door by standing on the plates because there are no rocks in the area and the NPCs will not help me by standing on the other plate (maybe they will once the mobs are dead, but as I said they cannot be cleared). I have been bashing my head against this mission for hours and cannot see a way of doing it.

Is the only way of doing this mission grouping up with a friend? I would find it odd that after 50 missions that I have solo’d easily, the game would suddenly throw a multi-person mission at me without any heads-up whatsoever.

So how do I proceed? Thanks for help

I agree, and don’t understand why. There SHOULD be a way to solo the main quests from the beginning to the very end.

I don’t play with friends, or any other for that matter, and find some random people to play with just to finish the last mission is not something I’m gonna bother with.

Would be better if the story-mission and the dungeon mission was separate.
