Will PS ever continue?
I don’t think so.
I guess it was supposed to progress with the introduction of new dragons, but I guess those are out now with the quick-content schedule.
I hope they’ll at least continue the plot that began in the personal story. I’m disappointed that the whole Elder Dragons plotline seems to have fallen completely by the wayside in favour of one-shot stories. I like having other things to do too, and I’m not saying they should focus on the dragons all the time, but it begins to strain credibility that all the heroes of Tyria have better things do than start making a concrete effort to deal with the world-destroying menace on our doorstep.
Every time I log in during the Living Story stuff and feel unmotivated to do anything, I wonder if my character is just standing there thinking “Why are we doing these idiotic festivals and dealing with these moronic subfactions while the rest of the dragons are slowly destroying our world?”
I hope they at least have the dragons as permanent story, that we can do at our own leisure. I will be very annoyed if they make taking down the rest of the dragons as short term ‘living story’ which I feel is great as episodic content but is still unrelated to the main GW2 plot.

What he said! kitten what an awesome guild yours seems to be? Anyway. I too hope there is more personal story. I want to join Rytlock’s Warband. I WANT IT!
Oh and Dragons, that too. Important story stuff like that should indeed be done at your own leisure.

This. This all the way.
The Guild Wars universe has such rich lore and to think we’re worried about who to elect for a seat in the Lion’s Arch Captain’s Council is pathetic.
Though I will say that I’m hopeful now that Anet has given nods to Glint and the Crystal Desert in “Bazaar of the Four Winds”.
I mentioned it in another post, but Destiny’s Edge has unfinished business with Kralkatorrik. A personal story continuation avenging Snaff would be awesome, imho, and let us open the Crystal Desert.
As I dont care for Zhaitan at all (defeated him twice, nothing changed in the world, bad design!) I really want to start getting involved in the issues of my race.
Fighting bandits, centaurs etc. THAT felt alot better than fighting against a dragon you never actually see and have no real intention to actually beat.
The overall design in the later stories got very depressing and dark. I hate undead.
Please Anet: make our personal story continue – but dont fail so hard at it again.
Update 5.9.2013: getting better ANet, still way to go!
A Lannister always pays his debts – For everyone else, there’s Mastercard.
The conspiracy theorist in me keeps wondering if they’re actually working kitten a huge release that has to do with the next Elder Dragon to be taken down. Perhaps that’s what all this Living Story stuff is somehow working up to. So far, ANet doesn’t seem to be the type to give away any hints about much that they’re doing. They’re rather secretive and push out quite a bit of information just before the release. I’m not sure. Somehow this may all come together from a Living Story to continue our Personal Stories.
Or I’m crazy. I guess I still have a lot of faith in ANet since I adored GW1, and love GW2 and all of Tyria so much more!
I also would like to see the Personal Story to continue expanding from where it left off.
They could do so much with it but they choose to spend that money on Living Story instead… ugh!
