Guild Wars 2

I just don’t get why so many people think the personal stories and actors are so bad. Last time I saw some cutscenes from other games, at least PC ones anyway, I wanted to just fall asleep or get up and go do something else until they were finished. I actually enjoy the Gw2 storylines though. There’s plenty of depth to the characters, I just think too many people are too shallow to appreciate it. Now as far as the cutscenes themselves, while I do enjoy the “personal” interactions we get with the speakers during the plot, I would enjoy a few more live action scenes similar to Gw1 just juiced up to GW2 standards. Longer story missions too, but I doubt that will happen because too many people cry their little eyes out about them being too long already >.>Obviously most of you have never done thunderhead keep mission in GW1 (which roughly equates to a story mission in this game) even if you roflstomp every mob, it’s still going to take a little bit of time to complete. There were a few in the other campaigns too and ya know, those were my favorite ones. there was so much to do, so much to push my limits to see how well I could pull it off, but it was also repeatable ( another feature story needs) so I could do it anytime I wanted. All-in-all the things I pointed out though are minor tweaks/polish (a few bugs aside, but that’s programming stuff, not story stuff), story mode is fun, if you don’t enjoy it….well I’m sorry for you. Story is good. And yes I deliberately mislead you with mytopic title…YW for enlightening you

Never asume that 50 people complaining bout something on a forum is what ther majority of people in the game wants. From my guild im the person afaik thats active here. Besides that on places like this people tend to say what they dislike rather then what they like. So you end up with more negativism as is reality. The amount of critique on the cutscenes is on a normal level except one. Trahearne.

Trahearne is like Rurik. I hate them both very deeply and throughly. The frost gate is my favourite mission ever, that final cutscene , I never ever skipped that and was always cheering.

As for Trahearne. I want an NPC to come with me that makes me feel happy and enthousiastic to play the game not one that is a pessimistic snob. -This wont end well-

Based upon the guild I’m in the complaints about the voice acting and Trahearn in particular, is even more negative that that expressed here. Ditto for the forced grouping for the final chapter.
