10 Man or Larger Dungeons or Raids
This!!
Let us have a guild dungeon which requires serveral teams.
(yes i know you guys wanted to avoid the large groups, but we want something massive, hence the name Massive Multiplayer Online.)
Make the dungeon harder as more teams enter to clear.
Let us use our commander icon’s in PVE so we can cordinate in PvE.
Give us more things to do in PvE, cuz we can only take so much PvP before we end up back in lions arch and AFK the rest of the day from boredom.
10 man or larger does NOT provide a better gaming experience. It just makes it worse as the logistical properties have to be ironed out.
There are plenty of games that offer this type of content.
Please stop trying to shove it down the throat of this game.
Massive Multiplayer Online means there are a lot (massive) amount of people online playing. No where does it say they are or have to play together.

Uhh then don’t do it if it is available… Many people like it. I’m new to MMO’s and it seems like a very fun thing to experience. I would really love to see this be put into action
Exactly, just because someone doesn’t like it surely doesn’t mean the option should not be there for those that do!
I agree with the idea of having raids. The word “raid” seems to be cliche now with developers avoiding it entirely or lightly brushing over it with little to no response. They seem to avoid it for obvious reasons because players will come into the thread panicking.
Suggestion
I had an idea and I think it could work similar to sPvP whereas you join a raid instance and it acting as it’s own progression within the dungeon. There wouldn’t be tiers of gear because the stat gain would only remain for that dungeon and have no bearing on the outside world stats. Perhaps there could be a possibility of showing the gear-look around town because it technically is PvE.
End-Solution
This allows for the possibility of player progression within raids with your friends. It enhances the guild system and creates communities. The stat progression would only remain for the dungeon and not affect the world. There wouldn’t be tiers of gear because it’s technically tied only to that specific dungeon.
Or maybe people should realize that the Dev’s are in the process of adding guild events and quest lines that fit this.
Also people need to look at what defines a raid. The number of people needed for a raid is not defined by 10 – 40 people. In fact a raid is defined by a group of people over taking a point or objective with a strategical advantage.
The rest of how raids were set up in other MMo’s are present in Fractals.
- A dungeon that is harder than the previous dungeons
- A dungeon that offers better rewards the harder the difficulty gets
- a Dungeon that becomes harder the higher the level you join
Fractals
- Starts out easy and is harder than other dungeons in the world ( no Res Zerg )
- The more you do it the harder it becomes (with bosses and mobs hitting harder and doing different tactics
- The loot becomes more rewarding the higher the fractal level
So in turn from how they are making it sound you will get your 10 + man content in guild storyline quest
As far as raids we have them it is called fractals, it just is not in your tradition MMO fashion. Although a lot of what Guild Wars 2 is doing is not in the traditional MMO fashion
The problem, Kamick, is that there are still constant shouts for high level fractal groups. Randoms, are still able to do high level fractals and it just shows how a small difference isn’t that hard to get around in fractals. They are working on “guild” events that will be more inviting to larger groups but they havn’t announced anything along the lines of large scale dungeons which is what a lot of guilds are eager to see. We need more than just an event that scales off a dungeon level, we need something thats hard to begin with and you feel like you accomplished something each time you did it. Fotm definitly helps people with that “challenge” aspect but it simply isn’t enough. The team is more than capable of working on such a thing but it’s best they spend months on this rather than a couple weeks before they realease such a dungeon.
break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

I never said ti was a perfect system ( FoTM ) just said it by all technical standards holds the definition of what MMO raids have held.
As far as dungeons for large scale guilds ect. Give it time I am almost certain that the Guild Quest lines and events are just a precursor test run for more things.
Larger dungeons might be included later. Don’t call them raids though – it’s a stupid term. In Guild Wars 1 there were a few maps that required 2 parties to participate. I don’t think this idea would have been scrapped easily – those missions were some of my favourites. I can see something similar being implemented in a later expansion so don’t hold your breath as it might take a while before 10 man dungeons appear.
Tyler Joe
It would be nice if we could do dungeons with more than 5 people. GW1 had 8.
It would be awesome if the dungeons allowed up to 8-10 and scaled accordingly.
5 just seems so small and I always feel sad when someone has to get left out.
10+ raids…..IDK seems like it might be a clusterkitten.
