There have been numerous complaints about 100% map completion and having to complete WvW maps to achieve it. Although this may seem fair and reasonable on paper, while WvW remains completely out of balance, this task becomes impossible. Especially for those who refuse to change servers just to complete the map.
I am on the Henge of Denravi server, which lately has not been able to keep more than a handful of territories in WvW due to the mass exodus of WvW players. I am a PvE player, but am frustrated to be stuck in the 90% range of map completion because of WvW.
My suggestion to fix this issue, without having to switch servers, is to add an option when traveling to WvW to make your character neutral. He/she can not see, or attack any other characters and could freely explore the map unhindered. What may even be an easier option is to make a neutral “overflow” type map which you can opt into. Here you can see other characters from other servers but everyone would be neutral as in PvE. Not only would it provide a means of friendly server interaction but as a means of completing the map.
Or simply remove the WvW requirement for 100% map completion.
Hmm yh I agree, because there are some points in keeps and if u don’t own the keep your screwed.
PvE-type achievements should not be tied to PvP elements. ANet, please change this.

Please, I beg you, tell me where it says it’s a pve achievement.
It doesn’t, and I never said that it did. Exploration is not something generally associated with PvP, so why ask players to PvP for it?
Is it so hard to fully separate PvE from PvP for those who don’t want to deal with PvP?
I agree that this seems bad. I’m on HoD, and we haven’t been in a winning WvW match up in nearly 2 months. Going out of our base is suicide. Completing any map is just a joke we all laugh about in LA..
Honestly , the 100% is a step to the leg weapon. It is meant to be a pain.
Still , this shows how fast a server fall , the once mighty HoD … now cant even fight back on lower tiers.
maybe it could be an incentive for more people to wvw?
They have it in monthly, thats enough for me…
Wholeheartedly agree. =( It’s not like the maps are all different anyway. 3 identical maps and out of 4, WvW balance issues and most significant of all, map exploration people taking slots that could have been used by WvW players…I really don’t understand why this is not being changed. That reason by itself should be more than enough to force a change.
