20% base experience bonus for all character under level 80, (1-79) this makes leveling a new character easier for each level 80 character you have, but does not give a bonus to the level 80 characters themselves, this makes re-rolling easier, and also makes people who like to try new things not so limited to one character.

I would not go as far as 20% for 1-79.
But at least 5% exp for each level 80 characters for characters under level 60 would be nice.
They could also get one extra skill point when they reach level 5 for each character that reached level 80.

We have to keep the exp boosters desirable enough to tempt people to get them, haven’t we?

Whats the rush to 80? Everything you do at level 80 and can do at level 1.

Gw2 is all about the journey. I don’t think ANet should be encouraging rushing through 1-79.

I find leveling in this game to be way too fast as it is. Honestly, I would like to be able to shut XP gain off.

Quick Poll for anyone reading:

When you play, do you:
1. focus exclusively on one character, even after reaching 80?
2. focus on one character until they hit the level cap, and then start on another?
3. play multiple characters/classes, leveling them all up over time?

I’m #3. I’m beginning to get the impression that I’m in a minority on these forums.

I login and play with the lowest character for the session.

That way I keep using the same items, and I can sell anything under the lowest level.
I do the same in all games with rpg-style leveling.

That’s INSANE.

You already get exp from:

• Gathering (All the different nodes too)
• Reviving others (Even if it’s NPCs, ones who might even die every 5 secs)
• Killing (the many) mobs.
• Dynamic Events.
• Hearts.
• Skillpoints.
• Vistas.
• Achievements.
• Points of interest.
• Huge boost when completing a story quest.

And more!

That’s ok for one character.
But one might want to try multiple personal stories. For 8 characters or so is not noticeable, but after 20 it starts to hurt.

15 characther slots. Getting a few legendaries will be a PITA enough, let players get their exp at the speed they want (fast) and stop complaining.
