Hello,
I really enjoy this game. Just wanted to state that outright. But there are a few things I hope will be implemented as the game evolves.
1) Character renames and redesigns.
- I am sure that renames will eventually be purchasable from the Gem Store, given the service was established in the original Guild Wars. Redesigns are slightly more tricky, but even a simple barbershop option would be appreciated that players could access for silver.
2) Gold being shared at the Account level without having to access a bank.
- This is more for convenience than anything. In order to transfer a single gold piece to my Engineer, I have to log on to my Mesmer, travel to a Bank, deposit a gold, log off the Mesmer, log onto the Engineer, travel to a Bank, and withdraw that gold piece. It seems like an incongruous process given how much is shared between characters like achievement progress, bank space, collectibles, and some Trade House services.
3) Dyes being shared at the Account level.
- I like collecting them, I just wish I had access to the dyes my main owns on alt characters. However, I understand that this may undermine Cooking’s ability to generate profit later on. Perhaps some sort of service could be implemented that allowed dyes already accessed by characters to be recreated at a cheaper cost through the Cooking discipline or the Gem Store.
4) Black Lion Harvesting Tools becoming Account Bound rather than Soulbound.
- The Salvage Kits are Account Bound, but the axes, sickles, and picks are not. As far as I know, everything else that drops out of the chests are Account Bound, why not the harvesting tools?
5) Collectible tabs for both Dyes and Rare Crafting Materials.
6) More UI options.
- It would be swell to be able to move some aspects of the UI around, such as the minimap, party frames, the bar across the top of the screen, and the context bar for the F key.
7) More insight into how certain stats adjust damage on ability tooltips.
- Does my Rocket Turret scale with Power? Condition Damage?
8) Better pet AI for Rangers and Necromancers.
- I feel this has more impact on Rangers than Necromancers though Necromancers would also benefit. While I don’t think that Rangers [Necromancers] should get some sort of furry [bony] juggernaut [hideous amalgamation of pain and flesh] to run down enemies in PvP, it would be nice if the pet either had a dodge mechanic for avoiding AoE bursts or a passive damage reduction from AoE.
9) More of the various creatures of Tyria becoming tamable by Rangers.
- Rock dogs have an amazing model. And if a centaur can train them, I’m sure my charr could manage.
I understand that there exist multiple posts relating to various aspects of these nine suggestions. I just thought I’d consolidate them and my own thoughts in a post.
