They should finall make dyes accountbound for at least dying our equipment..
Dyes should get for that to work a new term – “personal bonded”
an item, that is personal bonded just is accountbound for certain personal game mechanics, but still sellable to others so that they can use it for somethign else, that is not personally bonded to them, like my housing suggestion that folliows right now at the bottom of my posting…
Anet is always in the possition to add more new types of colors to the game to get the dye motor for the economy to restart again so that people have to buy some new colors..
Just think of all the flame and frost colors they introduced after the game was released. Do you honestly belive, that Anet can’t do this again and again as often as needed over some long course of time??
Or make at least a split at the system, making all 415 dyes from the main game account bound and only the new dyes which get added later to the game like those FF dyes character bound.
Both would work perfectly!
And also, then there are still other ways to use colors which could be used for future content stuff, like Housing so that dyes can stay something what you want to buy from people, like dyes to buy to create with them pictures/portraits for your own home instance for example !!
Plus there are already other things in the game, that require dyes, like making Bifröst for exampl,e one of the legendary weapons requires dyes to build it.
Players should be able to put 4 dyes into the mystic forge and receive then 1 unidentified dye for them.
This would create another way to keep players buying dyes from others to turn them into unidentifyed dyes which can be then either used for making Bifröst, or for having a chance for receiving a rarer dye or in general a dye, that they don’t have yet…
It would be also a nice way to get rid of countless double and tripple dyes of the same type, if you don’t want to sell them.. just put them into the forge and get out of multiple dyes a new unidentified dye back …
That would also help in raising a bit the worth of alot of totally cheap dyes that currently sell all for just a few copper only, if there would be a way to make out of unwanted double/tripple dyes an unidentified dye…
Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside
