I would like to begin by saying that, as a game, Guild Wars 2 is certainly one of the better games I’ve played. However, I have noticed a little quirk that has really been bothering me mch of the past year that I would like to see changed. Many of the Living Story releases have had these fun little mini-games that as games are rather fun. (Secrets of Southsun’s Crab Toss, Bazaar of the Four Winds’ Sanctum Sprint, Dragon Bash’s Dragon Ball, and so on) The problem I have that keeps me from having fun in these mini games is simple. I cannot go in these activities with a friend to enjoy it WITH them. The ultimate measure of a good Multiplayer game is the degree of fun the player and his or her friends can have. The current system severely limits that, and, in my opinion, cheats Guild Wars 2 of its own potential. PvE, Fractals, Dungeons, WvW, and even PvP allow for friends to play and fight in Guild Wars 2’s gameplay together. This system robs friends of the ability to play together and often forces them to play with total strangers.
As such, my suggestion to Arena Net is this: either allow party members the option to join in the activity like a dungeon or instance or allow them the chance to join in on the activity in a similar manner to PvP where players can click on a red notice in their chat logs and join in on the activity.
