Guild Wars 2

Board games in the major cities. Like guild wars 2 type board games. They wouldn’t have to create entirely new little board games, or even mini-games, maybe even just like chess or checkers or something, but it would be so cool! It would help to make the game feel more real and more like a community. You could have like a “games building”, and have actual tables set up and characters sit down like it’s a real social place. Does anyone agree with me? It’s not a deal breaking thing, just an “if arena net has time” thing.

Not a bad idea, I’d love to see this. It would be a great way to make cities feel more alive with actual people:)

creative idea, i wouldnt mind a nice game of nauts and crosses (tic tac toe) or rock, paper scissors

I am not going to log into an MMO about being a hero and fighting to sit down in LA and play an hour of chess.

That would never happen.

But I can see going into different taverns across Tyria and playing mini games in the Tavern.

Many years ago, there was a mini game called Arcomage in Might and Magic 7.

Very simple, easy to learn, hard to master tiny little mini game. But it was addictive and great fun. You had to go to taverns to play and you had to be ranked by winning to be able to play the higher level games.

Things that fit with the game I can understand, chess and checkers I can’t.

well those were just examples to get what i was thinking across.

Having chess/checker boards and connect-5 tables at the open areas would be a great way to encourage players to hang out in the major cities.

In MapleStory (what I used to play), Memory and connect-5 were two mini-games that let you play with a friend virtually anywhere, it was really good fun and a great way to pass the time if you’re waiting for something or want something to do besides talk.

More things to do that do not involve killing lots of things would be great.
How about a trading card mini-game?

hey yeah! that would be really awesome! maybe you can buy a starter pack, find better cards in the wild or w.e, maybe earn good ones by doing dungeons and such. great idea!
