So I understand that many are not happy about the way that fractal weapons have been implemented and many good solutions have been proposed. However I feel as if many of the solutions proposed are either too complex (New MF recipes and new components) or unfair (buying with pristine relics allows those who repeatedly run low level fractals equal access to fractal weapons).

I think a fair and easy to implement solution is to have a MF recipe where 4 fractal weapons = 1 fractal claim token, which can be redeemed for any fractal weapon. That way those who have amassed many fractal weapons they cannot use can convert them and even if you get a fractal weapon you don’t need from your daily chest, you are still happy because you are 1/4th of the way to one you do need.

This would be easy to implement since fractal weapons cannot currently be MFed and they would remain rare because high level fractal runners have more chances at fractal weapons.

While I personally would prefer to have some sort of crafting recipe to make it feel like you are putting together fragments of a weapon into the actual fractal weapon (and give a use for the million shards I have),I would also be perfectly content with this solution as well. It would give a use for the collection I have in my bank.

Staying with the trend of what anet has been doing with the tokens recently it could be 4 fractal weapons into MF = “fractal components”. You trade them to an npc along with X amount of gold/ecto/shards to “craft” into a fractal weapon of your choice.

Something is better than nothing. So i support this idea.

How long does Anet expect me to slave over this thing before I finally get a skin let alone the one I’m actually looking for?

What’s the point?
Fractal weapons are just skins.
Adding another way to gain these skins would just undermine the effort of everyone who’ve already gotten the skins.

There’s a difference between effort and luck. If it wasn’t luck but endless amounts of playtime that they had to go through to finally get it, isn’t that something that should be fixed?

Yeah, you are right.
And if I would have it my way I’d make it so that anyone who’ve beaten fractal 21 got access to all fractal weapon skins at the cost of some gold.

But since the skins wasn’t released in such a state, their worth would be undermined.
