The huge zergs in WvW require computers far better than the minimum requirements.

How about a smaller map that has 40 players per server that can give a reasonable FPS for those of us with systems that are well above minimum requirements but get 5FPS at times.

It could have no gathering, no jumping puzzles and less importance in the server tally to dissuade the faster computers from playing there. It could be like the Kids Table wvwically speaking.

…Also please let us turn off snow. If you can’t optimize the game, you can easily turn off snow to lessen the effects of low FPS on a player’s ability to see what’s happening. May improve performance too.

So you want a kind of bare bones, minimized WvW in essence.
Doesn’t feel as epic then to be honest. I don’t have a super computer, yet
I run those zergs just fine. Soo..

This is in addition to the existing maps. You’d still get to do whatever you do in the regular maps, but those who can’t do WvW because of low FPS could use this and make a small difference in the overall score.

So you want them to waste valuable time on something that is only a problem if you haven’t read understood the hardware requirements for GW2?

As long as there are still bugs in this game they really shouldn’t waste their time and money on something like that. I’m a no.

They have more than 1 team. They can work on bugs and optimization or alternative solutions to optimization.

dont ask them to downgrade the game because you dont have a decent processor or video card

Not important at all unless you clearly define “well above”.
Minimum requirements are exactly what they sound like, you can play the game most definitively won’t have always fun. World PvP is not made for weak or moderate systems, it can’t be.

They might have included that in the minimum system requirements then.

Min requirements: Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, 2gb ram, Geforce 7800
My system: Core 2 Duo 3.0ghz overclocked to 3.6ghz, 8gb ram, Geforce GTX 560

People with better systems than mine are complaining too in the 40-page thread about low FPS.
